13 August 2018
Year 2 starts in only 3 weeks so I’ve been gathering bits and pieces for what promises to be a busy year.
I’ve seen mildliners everywhere on this site, so I finally caved and bought this pretty 5 pack online. I also invested in a few whitelines notebooks for important modules.
I also picked up these composition notebooks while in the US for 50c... 50 CENT!¡!! The only thing I love more than stationary is a good deal... MUJI however, saw most of my money. I bought these great little grid notebooks, pencil case, weekly “to do” lists and a cable organiser (which will be great for travelling home every weekend).
I was looking for something to read on the plane home in JFK and spotted this National Geographic- “The Science of Genius”. It was such a great read that I’ve already started to re-read it. Last year I referenced “From Birth to Five Years” by Mary Sheridan so often that I decided to buy it for this year (I’ve been told it’s considered the bible of paediatric nursing). I got a second hand version on abebooks for a great price. They’ve got so many 3rd level textbooks in great condition!
Finally I picked up this pencil on Ellis Island for a dollar. It reads:
“Mr. President, how long must women wait to get their liberty? Let us have the rights we deserve!” - Alice Paul.
So many notes today which is unusual, I appreciate you all
