so i left work a bit early, went to the too oft avoided gym, then headed into my home office rather than relaxing with netflix.
sounds counter-intuitive if i’m stressed, but the truth is, i realized today that ‘relaxing’ was making it worse. i need little wins of focus outside work. i need some personal carrots to keep me going.
now, i get that learning to embroider and reading one business book aren’t going to make everything magically ok. but... they did make me feel kinda great. and honestly, i sorta half-way forgot the stress in a way that doesn’t happen if i just watch netflix.
