Focusing on the details once more for this #WerewolfWednesday This piece took me a very long time to finish. It went through many changes & adjustments, every detail placed & sculpted with intention behind it. It often makes me sad that what art is most deprived of nowadays is time. Even though it's the most important ingredient in any craft. The average social media user spends less than 10 seconds looking at a post & platforms wants artists to create everyday. Making art victim to today's wasteful, consumerist mindset: there is never enough always more, no satisfaction in what is already there. While most old masters only created a handful of paintings in their lifetime spending years. Yet it's always worth coming back to them. Finding new details I visited the same museums so many times & still find something every time I look at the pieces again. Wondering why certain decisions were made, how the process was like etc. the amount of care put into them transfers into us still loving them hundred or even thousands of years later. It's sad that so many pieces of amazing artists nowadays don't get this anymore. Even though they are equally of care which should last then hundreds of years... Anyways long story short: to my contemporary peers I look at your art more than once & print etc. it will be appreciated for years to come
