❄️ winter studying challenge ❄️ 3rd january
more stats on a sunday? it’s more likely than you think...
what is your aim for 2021?
honestly? just to graduate in one piece, maybe even (!) get a job/postgrad offer lmao
not getting A’s doesn’t mean you’re not smart
not getting A’s doesn’t mean you can’t have a good future
grades don’t define you, they’re only a small part of who you are as a whole human, and people need to know that.

Woah I've been a bit of mental funk recently, but I'm starting to come out of it now. Maybe its because Spring is really here and it's been sunny recently? Whatever the reason, I just turned 17 and got my first vaccine dose. My tree has also come into full bloom and its super pretty.
I've always felt like my pics weren't aesthetic enough for this community which is stupid if I think about it for 1 second. This is about progress and learning, not wasting time trying to take a pretty picture (which may come as a talent for many people, but not me). So my first original post in almost 2 years .... Ta da ! I'm currently part of a book club and we are reading 'La Sombra del Viento' from Carlos Ruíz Zafón ♥️ today I'm going to be hosting the online meeting so I made a few notes.
PD. I always put leaves or flowers in books. So when I take a book from my bookcase I have to be careful of things falling off !
I hope you are all safe ♥️

What’s your name?
Willow
What year are you in?
I’m going into Year 12 (England).
What are you studying?
A-Levels: French, Biology and Art
After graduation, what next?
Hopefully taking a gap year to work in France, before going to university and studying French and ab initio Spanish.
Are you a morning or a night person?
Can be either tbh.
Front/middle/back of the class?
Front.
Best feedback from a teacher/professor?
Honestly, nothing specific comes to mind. However, there was one teacher who always saw me as more of a human than a student, and acknowledged my accomplishments outside of her subject, and tried to find the parallels between them, in order to motivate me. Somehow she always seemed to know how my mind worked, even though we didn’t talk much about personal things.
Best study tip?
When preparing for language speaking assessments, remember strings of vocab, rather than whole sentences - it makes your answer seem more spontaneous and natural. You can also use this preparation to use much more high-quality vocab, if you’re not focusing on remembering every detail to a sentence.
3 fun facts
My favourite flower is lavender.
I play bass.
I play for the girl’s team.
