also i’d been Extremely Guiltily & Yikesfacedly contemplating what state my water bottle was likely to be in (left it on my bicycle ?? months ago with ??? contents, and odds were decent, knowing me, that the Liquid in Question had not in fact been water but rather something like iced barley tea, or—both worse & likelier—green juice…) and then finally today i screwed my courage to the sticking place and fetched & opened it only to discover: water that didn’t even smell weird!!

I have been suffering with pain for months in my hands and my doctor thought it was carpal tunnel. It’s been a year and I’ve just found out I don’t have it and now my whole life has unbalanced. I’m honestly devasted because now I don’t know what I have or if it can be treated.

However, today despite my pain and inability to do a lot of everyday task, I painted a plant pot. It’s the little things.

Was about a millimeter away from MR28 on my xp bar when i finished leveling my kuva hind.... so I cobbled together a k-drive and ground out those last few mastery points... MR28.... finally.

I’m excited because my cousin’s getting married in October which is great but mainly she’s getting married in Alnwick which means I GET TO GO SEE HOGWARTS (ALWICK CASTLE)! Yay

Guys, I just really want to tell this story because it's the little things like today that really help remind me why I'm doing this job. Maybe it will help you, too. I have a client on a felony possession. His criminal history says he is a convicted felon, and it's said this FOR YEARS. I've spoken to him and he said he wasn't a felon; it was pled down to a misdemeanor. This kid seems pretty nice, but I'm skeptical. People minimize their criminal history every day. But I go into the system and look up the case. Sure enough, the filings show he pled to and was sentenced on a misdemeanor, but the offense information populating his criminal history says Felony. So now I'm helping him figure out how to get that corrected. And he thanks me, because he's been telling people FOR YEARS that he's not a felon but nobody believes him. And after basically begging (which I almost never do), I finally got the prosecutor to agree to plead it down to a misdemeanor. So my client won't be a felon on my watch.

drove like an hr & a half up the (narrow, winding) taconic, in the dark, with rain coming down in sheets, & lived to blog about it, so i feel i have officially been, er, baptized as a driver
