28 years ago, on this day (February 22), Johnny Depp and Kate Moss attended the Richard Tyler's 1994 Fashion Collection presentation and the screening of Johnny’s short movie “Banter” at the Smashbox Studios, in Culver City, California.
On that night, Johnny presented his 6 minutes short film (9 in total with credits), which was directed by himself in order to raise awareness and benefit the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (stylized as D.A.R.E.), an education program that seeks to prevent use of controlled drugs, membership in gangs, and violent behavior.
“Banter” marks the first time a short movie directed by himself was screened to an audience, but this was not his “directorial debut” as some people says, once at that time, he already had made two short films: “The Every Cake, Neil” a short documentary made in 1988 about the life of the guitarist of the rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers, John Frusciante. and “Stuff”, in 1993, which by Johnny’s own words “it’s about a wimpy guy who’s nagged to death by his wife”.
Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 10 Trailer Gives You the Yelling At/From Larry That You Know That You Want
It’s season 10 of Curb Your Enthusiasm and the trailer looks pretty, pretty, prettyyyy satisfying. Larry is a catalyst for subtle chaos that explodes to not-so-subtle chaos (and Jon Hamm does a pretty great Larry impression next to Larry).
You know the drill by now.
See for yourself in the first full, official trailer.
Season 10 of Curb Your Enthusiasm premieres Sun. Jan. 19th 10:30PM on HBO.
