Well, Rollan (Snow Queen 3) is thrown into the lava as his body was consumed by the fire demon and Rollan returns in the next movie shown to have been dormant inside the Fire King's body, and Ragnar (SMCA2) has vanished into ashes?.... when fighting the bad guys. Nothing is known about his fate, but he seems to be in another "world" and Gretel is planning to help him out.

Oh yeah, both movies also have great brother figures. Gerda and Gretel also count as great sisters.
