Summary:
Azula always lies. That's the mantra Zuko knows, but what exactly is his sister keeping to herself & why when she shows up at Ember Island University claiming to have reinvented herself? Something is off about the new Azula. She's a different girl alright, & she's suddenly best friends with Zuko's shady but intriguing drug dealer, Jet. Which Zuko is totally fine with. Katara was excited to finally join her big brother Sokka at college, with her mind laser-focused on education. But Katara's new friend, party girl & Sorority president Suki Arya is making that impossible - not to mention some unplanned romantic detours that get in the way of studying. Sokka's idea to bolster his popularity & school involvement in an attempt to keep up with his powerhouse little sister by trying out for the football team goes a little too well. He suddenly finds himself in the middle of a feud between Suki & her archrival, the beautiful but intimidating Yue Taqqiq. Rivalries, friendships, romances, & complicated family relationships develop & change over the course of the school year at Ember Island University as a group of young adults learn to better understand themselves & each other.

What made you ship it?
Well, I'm always a slut for "be gay do crime" & homoerotic swordfights <3 Plus I just love their scenes together on the boat - they're both on a journey to becoming better people & it's just narratively interesting for them to meet at this point in both of their arcs. Also, I just love how right away obsessed with Zuko Jet is! First wanting him as a Freedom Fighter, then wanting to prove he's a firebender. It's just sooo good <3
What are your favorite things about the ship?
They are both so traumatized & beaten down by the world in entirely different ways but their arcs still parallel each other & they also have a lot of chemistry. Also, they're super fun for me to write because of their conflicting personalities. Jet's charisma is so insanely high & Zuko is so socially awkward I just have a blast everytime I write a scene between them skdjsdk
Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?
A few lol! Jet & Zuko are both toxic assholes in their own ways & I tend to write them as such, that's part of what makes them fun. Making one or the other the bad guy as some fans do is boring & silly. Also, I feel like I've seen a few people up in arms over the "Jet is a slut" fanon trope but I stand by it because he's canonically a charmer & his personality gives vibes like he'd be a player lmao

I've never considered this ship before in my life but you just opened my mind to the possibility. These two gremlin girls could potentially have so much fun together oh my god....I might just be about to make this a ship in my current fic lmao this has potential

who cooks normally?: I think a lot of the time they’d get take-away, but whenever it’s a special occasion, Asami likes to whip up ingredients. And sometimes Korra likes to make WT foods to remind her of the ice.
how often do they fight?: Not a lot. They have heaps of debates, though.
what do they do when they’re away from each other?: Korra does a lot of Avatar stuff, though she regrets it, but she likes to take little things that are Asami’s so that she can feel her close.
nicknames for each other?: Hmmm…. I don’t think so, no.
who is more likely to pay for dinner?: Asami.
who steals the covers at night?: Korra. Korra is very clingy and very cuddly.
what would they get each other for gifts?: Korra likes to give Asami mechanic stuff. Asami likes to get Korra WT stuff.
who remembers things?: Korra relies on Asami a lot, ironically, for her Avatar meetings and things.
who cusses more?: Korra likes to slip into WT to tell someone to fuck off. Over time, she’s started to infect Asami, it seems.
what would they do if the other one was hurt?: Korra would be quite stressed and panicked and Asami would try to do what she could to get Korra to safety as soon as possible.
who kissed who first?: Korra kissed Asami first. They were on a date and she decided to go for it. And then they met in the middle. ^.^
who made the first move?: Korra started making little signals to Asami. (cue telephone signal) They got sort of bigger until Asami noticed.
who started the relationship?: Both of them. :D

who cooks normally?: Smellerbee definitely. Toph is always quite reluctant to get out of bed and Smellerbee cooks so that Toph will smell it.
how often do they fight?: They’re both quite opinionated women so once a month at least?
what do they do when they’re away from each other?: They like to know the other is safe so they write a lot of things and Toph earth bends a lot; and Smellerbee likes to keep Lin close.
nicknames for each other?: Not really for each other, but I guess Bee sometimes.
who is more likely to pay for dinner?: They really like take away so they don’t often have to pay, but I guess Smellerbee pays the take away man.
who steals the covers at night?: TOPH! Toph is very clingy at night.
what would they get each other for gifts?: Smellerbee would get Toph heaps of metal stuff and Toph would probably make terrible puns by buying Smellerbee honey.
who remembers things?: MY BABY SMELLERBEE! I mean Smellerbee. Toph can’t really be bothered.

what would they do if the other one was hurt?: I don’t think Toph would really know what to do if her wife got hurt. Neither would Smellerbee. But after Yakone, Smellerbee likes to sleep without covers to pretend that Toph’s stealing them; as well as liking to sleep with Lin in her bed.
who kissed who first?: Both. Smellerbee asked and Toph delivered.
who made the first move?: When Toph noticed the appealing voice of the Duke and Pipsqueak’s friend she made more innuendos to Bee than anyone else ever.
who started the relationship?: Smellerbee asked Toph out on a date first. Then they got more and more until they basically evolved into the super girlfriends.
I maintain the fact that Lin does not have a father. Lin has two mothers. One of those mothers is named Smellerbee.
