Character Development Questions - 3, 15
3. Does your muse focus mainly on one long term goal or multiple short term ones? What do they think about the reachability of their goals and what are they?
Cloud doesn’t generally sit down and plan pout his life. Joining SOLDIER (well, trying to) was about the closest he’s ever gotten, and that was more for glory and fame (and impressing Tifa) than a rational career choice. going after Sephiroth was about vengeance, and along the way, he just went through whatever goals he needed to in order to reach that main one. Even trying to cure Geostigma wasn’t a goal, so much as trying to survive and save Denzel.
Cloud doesn’t generally plan ahead any further than he needs to. He just lives, and deals with problems as they arise. It’s actually worked out pretty well so far - sure, he’s had a lot of problems in life, but a lack of goals had nothing to do with those.
15. How materialistic are they? Do they often throw things out or are they hoarders? Do they store their memories in their heads, in photo albums or in countless of boxes of belongings in the attic?
Cloud definitely isn’t a very materialistic person. Most of what he has can be packed easily and without weighing him down much. His only mementos for the dead are a ribbon (which he wears 24/7) and a freaking sword. Most of what decorates his room(s) above the Seventh heaven belong to other people, not Cloud himself.
What little he does have, he’s pretty heavily attached to - and it’s worth pointing out that he kept dozens of voice mails from his friends saved on his phone. But what he has is compact, easy to carry, and easily relocated or carried on the go.
