I’ve done a lot of practicing on friends, now I want to practice with people I don’t know!

I’m still a bit of a novice, but the readings I’ve done for friends have been very accurate. I’d love to practice with people who have lots of experience, as well as people who have no experience, as I’d love to hear your feedback.

I’ll take on 5 free readings right now (I would love for one of those people to have no experience with tarot!), but I will close my readings once I reach that number.

for today’s spread, we are going to do my most basic & common: a general 3-card reading that moves forward from left to right, with the goddess oracle card read last as a clarifier. I will periodically switch things around!

card one, your current state: Page of Swords, reversed ||| maybe you have been listening a little too much to the negative voices around you, or maybe you have been a negative voice yourself. when reversed, this card is a sign to me that there is some sort of spiritual/emotional/mental unrest. it is my view that you have a long way to go to work through what it is that is in your mind at the moment.

card two, your obstacle/issue/roadblock: Three of Swords ||| look at the card... what’s been piercing your innermost soul? think about it: we know from our first card that you’ve been going through something that has prompted you to absorb negativity or charge it back into the universe. what is it that is causing this? I can’t answer that for you definitively; however, I can say that it is apparent to me that you are confronting something painful, and ignoring the truth of it. the rainclouds in the background, the swords piercing from all sides: this has been a bad one, and I want you to know that there is hope. as cliché as it may sound, after every rainstorm... there really is some kind of sunshine. don’t give up hope or be afraid by the intensity of this card. chances are, you have BEEN dealing with this, and ignoring it.

card three, your outcome/incoming energy: Five of Wands, reversed ||| how validating! I wish I could speak with you myself so that we could address how wonderfully this strings together... this card is telling us that you have been - as we stated under card two - dealing with this issue, and neglecting it. the great news is that the message of hope associated with card two apply here, and are confirmed. you are exiting a situation that has been trying for you: you’re entering into a phase of life where things are going to be relaxed. goodness will certainly come. this card carries a distinct message of orderliness from disarray.

your Goddess Guidance clarification card: Maeve, “cycles & rhythms” ||| what a perfect way to close this off. I think that this card speaks for itself. the way you are feeling now is directly reflective of the fact that life is not one straight line. it is instead a pulsing, living thing. the trajectory of our lives shifts daily and based on the smallest of occurrences... this should be comfort to us in times of strife, as we are armed with the knowledge that out of this, goodness can & will prevail. conversely, in times of goodness, rest in the fact that you are here now, finally, and embrace that feeling before life naturally moves its course. the card itself bears the following message: “Honor the cycles of your body, energy levels, and emotions.” do exactly that! the above messages tell us that you have been having a hard time. what do YOU need to do to get through it? practice writing it out, or speaking it aloud when no one is around.
