The departure hall is crammed; lines of travelers snaking all through the large building, and a speaker announcement seemingly on an endless loop:

“Due to weather conditions, all flights are currently suspended. Please wait for more information.”

A couple of hours later, it’s clear that he’s not flying anywhere today. Nobody is, seeing as all planes remain grounded, and from what he can read scrolling around on various news sites, it looks like he might not even be flying out tomorrow. Snowed-in Christmas in New York, then.
