Icarus is a corporate sponsorsed superhero. We all know this. Fables corporation, founded by fable aka a super powerful former hero, has their own little hero, Icarus, whos identity is not a secret.

Now, part of me is saying they have bird wings and that is they power but also consider they do not use superpowers and use mechanical wings and honey lemon from big hero six style "potions". The public thinks they just didn't inherit any power from fable and uses them as an example of "oh anyone who has enough determination and wants to help people can be a hero!"Which who knows maybe they do have powers actually but they are VERY VERY dangerous and volatile bc quixis.

Ven works for the city newspaper that is probably owned by Fable because most major things in the city would be at that point, and had been writing articles basically making Fable look really good and sweeping bad things under the rug. Journalistic integrity for them has basically gone out the window now that Fable is the one choosing who gets hired and paying peoples bills.

For fun, I think Ari could be Icarus's 'guy in the chair' not because she wants to or she's good at it pre because she chose it but because Fable needed somewhere to put her.
