SRA's, Work and Smoke Radio!

It's been an eventful couple of weeks, so first of all I want to apologise for lack of blogging. But, it's been interesting!

First of all, the SRA's* were fantastic! I had so much fun. It was nice to go out to somewhere new and experience the indigo2. I also got kinda drunk, first time in a long while! 

I also had my first live session on my show, Adam Bloom came in to the studio to sing a few songs for me, it was absolutely awesome! Unfortunately, the show wasn't recorded... HOWEVER! 

I have a big guest coming up soon, this girl has headlined at Coventry's Kasbah Nightclub, and has done various other gigs across the West Midlands and has recently moved here to London. I can't confirm a date yet, but it might be this Tuesday!

We're onto practical work now, which is exciting. Our first assignment in this half of the semester is to interview someone and edit it. That's due in on Tuesday and I haven't started yet, oops. My interview is on Monday though, so I should be ok! It can't take more than 3 hours to edit 3 and a half minutes and right a cue, I hope.

Our last assignment is set in a couple of weeks.. It looks quite exciting because its a group exercise. I think we have to make a live show between us and broadcast it live, or at least record it... But it'll probably go live. If you have the equipment, use it I guess! I'm looking forward to seeing what it is!

This weeks show (well technically next week but yeah.. Tuesday 19th) may be pre-recorded.. Because I might sneak off to England v Germany, I mean.. If it's next door, I may as well! But it'll also be a lot easier to get the person in that I want!

The SRAs approach!

It's exciting, but not as exciting for me than for others! Because I'm not nominated, impossible. I've only been around for a month! But it's still exciting, because for the night I will be with people just like me! Students in radio, so there's endless things to talk about. I may even meet Greg James, what a bonus. 

Tuesdays show was a good laugh, when you consider it was a tough topic at first. But I want to thank Josh for coming in, he's a great lad and a good guy to work with. Hopefully he can come on the show again one day and play one of his many instruments.

My suits ready, the shirt just needs ironing and a poppy needs to be placed on it and I'm ready to go.
