Studio fun, football and.. Too many selfies.

After finally recovering from the horrendous weekend of work, I managed to get some sleep last night. Which means my sleeping pattern has finally recovered. But I was enjoying my sleep so much that I decided to not go to my lecture and sleep some more.

I don't think Rickie was too pleased... 

We basically have a little photo war going on, taking embarrassing photos of each other. We only get to do it on Wednesday's really though which sucks. It's currently 1-1.

Yesterday we decided to play some football, which did cause a hostile atmosphere in the radio department. When the football was originally planned, there was a post made with only men tagged... You can see the problem already. I decided not to get involved in the heat because it's not my place, I just turned up to play some football... Which I should not have done!

I used to enjoy playing football when I in the last couple of years of school and I would always play in goal. I wasn't too bad either! But I injured myself on my right knee. I have no idea what I did to it, but it hurt a lot for a few months and whenever I landed on it, it would hurt again. So 3 years later, I play and land on it.. So I don't think I should really play in goal anymore. It was a good laugh though and I enjoyed myself!

Earlier that day myself and Max went in to the studio as we normally do when we're bored. Instead of the normal just rant down a mic and record it (which really helps getting things off my chest) we decided to do a full show. We named it Fish n' Chips because we were both hungry and fancied Fish and Chips. But in-between every link, the bastard just kept sending snapchats.

SRA's, Work and Smoke Radio!

It's been an eventful couple of weeks, so first of all I want to apologise for lack of blogging. But, it's been interesting!

First of all, the SRA's* were fantastic! I had so much fun. It was nice to go out to somewhere new and experience the indigo2. I also got kinda drunk, first time in a long while! 

I also had my first live session on my show, Adam Bloom came in to the studio to sing a few songs for me, it was absolutely awesome! Unfortunately, the show wasn't recorded... HOWEVER! 

I have a big guest coming up soon, this girl has headlined at Coventry's Kasbah Nightclub, and has done various other gigs across the West Midlands and has recently moved here to London. I can't confirm a date yet, but it might be this Tuesday!

We're onto practical work now, which is exciting. Our first assignment in this half of the semester is to interview someone and edit it. That's due in on Tuesday and I haven't started yet, oops. My interview is on Monday though, so I should be ok! It can't take more than 3 hours to edit 3 and a half minutes and right a cue, I hope.

Our last assignment is set in a couple of weeks.. It looks quite exciting because its a group exercise. I think we have to make a live show between us and broadcast it live, or at least record it... But it'll probably go live. If you have the equipment, use it I guess! I'm looking forward to seeing what it is!

This weeks show (well technically next week but yeah.. Tuesday 19th) may be pre-recorded.. Because I might sneak off to England v Germany, I mean.. If it's next door, I may as well! But it'll also be a lot easier to get the person in that I want!
