Too Large to Deliver
Two days ago I had the goal of putting 100 things away. Pick up a thing, put it away. Only touch it once, then done. Because I keep moving the same things around and around and they are still in the way. It’s maddening. Well, it spite of my best efforts, I only put 67 things away. So yesterday I endeavored to put 133 things away. But the morning was spent filling out disability paperwork, calling my ISP because my computer kept going offline, and taking care of my husband who has cancer. Then the afternoon was consumed with running the daily errands. I got home after dark, which isn’t too hard to do considering it is dark by five P.M. In short I put 2 things away yesterday. Sad face. So do I make the number of things to put away 233 today?
The post office opens at 10 AM and I have to be there to argue with them about why they didn’t deliver a large parcel to me on Sat. It’s a day bed in a box. Do they expect me to somehow lift this thing that was too large to deliver up to the roof of my car or what? But since they don’t open until 10 and the mail trucks will probably be long gone by then, I doubt they can deliver it on New Year’s Eve. They are closed New Year’s Day. So I won’t get it until Thurs. I just don’t want them to mail it back to Amazon, because I had free shipping the first time. I don’t even want to think about how much shipping would be on such a bulky and heavy object. But if it fit within their standards to accept it for delivery, they should deliver it.
