A Sweet Escape

It's admirable to want to provide the tastiest sweets to ponies of the town, but one might draw a line at how far one would go to get a special ingredient. Yes, it might help you make the tastiest of chocolates, but is it worth it if you end up a snack, yourself? Hazel here found herself lost, afraid and longing for her home, shaking at every shadow of the forest, every branch blown in the breeze or a bush rustled from a skittering creature. The poor lost confectioner wondered when she would see her home again, longing for somepony to help her. But it didn't take too long before she was indeed found. But not by a pony. Fer first thought was shock at the realisation that a creature was emerging out of the trees and speaking to her... the sudden appearance of another creature making her jump out of her hooves. Her next response was intrigue and curiosity as she beheld the snake, his eyes gleaming through the darkness with a dazzling array of colours, his words hissing to her in greeting. The next thing she felt was a strange energy washing over her body, running through her bones like a warm tingly liquid, her brain getting flushed suddenly with pleasureful hormones and butterflies erupting in her belly as she realises that those eyes were doing something to her. The fascination washing over her mind and drawing her attention in. All thoughts of home slowly sank away as all she could think about was this moment, this place, this huge, strange, but rather beautiful snake. His words hissing to her felt so disarming. But this feeling, this weird, fascinating, wonderful feeling filling her with warmth and relaxation, making her feel as light as air... She suddenly found that she couldn't stop herself from smiling. Her own eyes were reflecting the patterns of the snake's, being made to copy the colours. She could do nothing but smile and look curiously and enthusiastically into the big, gleaming eyes and those thick rings of colour flowing through them. As her body gently trembled, her smile grew wider. Her thoughts, her fears and worries, were all quickly vanishing. She found it so hard to think now, so hard to concentrate... it was like she was slipping away. Her last thoughts weren't of how much danger she was in from this predator... the fact she was about to be his prey, that she might die out here in the forest and never see her home again. It wasn't a feeling of longing for the safety of her home at all... It was just an overwhelming sense of satisfaction and comfort as the snake led her around the clearing with the beauty of his hypnotism, hissing away her inhibitions all the way, and even cupped her face to lift her up helplessly. Her last thoughts were a feeble, barely conscious effort to recognise how amazing she felt. But her mind had already sank so deep that she didn't know where she was by this point, and she didn't care. By the time Kaa was staring into Hazel's face, holding her to lift her up like this, she had already fallen so deep under his spell that she was basically gone. She wouldn't even be consciously aware of her imminent demise. This poor little tasty pony would just become another victim of the jungle. But this was her home now. No need to go anywhere. She didn't have to go back to her life of making sweets anymore. There was only one thing left for her, now. One final tasty experience that she gets to deliver.

Here is a personal pic I drew because I felt inspired to draw an alternative take on the 3rd Kaa encounter from the movies. We all love that cupped face pose after all. I thought it'd play well with a pony being lifted up and held this way with her legs dangling down. I spent ages trying to figure out who should be the victim here, but ultimately ended up designing an original character for it. There are one or two things I'd like to change but don't have the energy to now. I am overall very happy with how everything came out. I'll see if I can use this character in the future, maybe. Anyway right now she's snake food probably. Poor thing shouldn't be out in the forest. She's finding out the hard way what happens when you encounter the powerful snake that lives here.

So long! (Hypnovember day 4 - unaware) WIP

Part of sketches for Hypnovember. Rainbow Dash can't be stopped by a pesky foe like Melyssa! She might be mischevious and have dirty tricks, but that surely can't stop an awesome, cool, fast and daring pony like Rainbow Dash! She's too cool for these coils~ Unless..... It was all just a happy dream. I'm sure she'll get home and try to read Daring Do and find that none of the text stays the same way twice, and wonder what the heck is going on as her world becomes more and more devolved and delusional, completely unaware that she's trapped in a dream, much less how to get out, much less that she's actually trapped inside of a deep wrap of luxurious coils in this very moment! If she concentrates hard enough, I'm sure she could feel the soft scales and relaxing compression of the coils that her mind is supressing. Let's just hope that if she CAN find a way out of her illusion, that by the time she does, she doesn't awaken to find herself inside some place even tighter, and warm and slimy.

Face to Face With Melyssa (Animation)

Melyssa has come a long way since her first ever appearance as a random nameless lamia intended for a one-off design. But she's back with an even more mesmerizing stare at you. As difficult as animation is, I keep getting the itch to do more. And I had an idea for doing the eyes for a hypno pic by just animating one single ring and offsetting the frames and merging them. It didn't end up exactly how I intended originally but it shifted in the creative process. Overall I'm suuuuper happy with how this came out and I had SO much fun playing with all the effects and stuff to make it pop. Melyssa may have started with the intention of being a throwaway design for a single pic that people resonated far more than I anticipated, but over the years of drawing her for commissions and eventually for myself, I've really grown to love her quite a lot. I hope to write up a proper backstory/introduction based on what I hinted at in her refsheet. But for now I'm just having fun drawing her~ There is another picture with her I started drawing just for me, and I realised also that this one looks like it could be linked to it as a POV shot XD So look forward to that. (Though I'm so overloaded with commissions and YCHs that it may be a little bit.) Hope you all enjoy the fruits of one and a half days of hyperfixation. Maybe like 6 or 7 hours in total? 14 FPS, 30 frames.
