Ok so this idea was born from 2 Au's that could have easily happened any way the main start is just what if jay had stayed a snake like come on I can see why they didn't but with context it would have been so cool to see just imagine the angst anyway the 2nd au combined with this is one that I saw some where but I can't rember where for my life is what if kai was turned into an andcondri so kai gets a serpint tatoo turning him into a snake but can't turn back for some reason I don't know just say jay bit him or something. Onto the story
Jay had left the ninja after Zane death he had grown very distant not even wu new where he was probaly because ninjago still hated snakes for 'reasons' and jay had been through a lot.
That why they were shocked to see jay on the ship going to chens Island he was just standing their hood up tail curdled around his leg contplating while looking at the sea. Lloyd approached him talking to jay jay, which seemed to make jay scared until he saw who it was kai walked over before getting distracted by someone. Cole walked over cuasing jay to walk away Cole felt hurt by that why would he.
Kai felt angry for jay he had been mocked and abused by some of the other competitors for giggles he new his brother was use to it by now he couldn't imagine the pain of being hated by nearly every one just for who you are that's why as he stood chained jays looking at him telling him and skylor to fight it he new he'd soon understand then he saw a chain break and jays eyes glow blue he was fighting Chen kai passed out from exhustion seeing jays concerned look in his eyes. Kai awoke jay, moving him with his arm around his waist kai suddenly became aware he felt sick but also so cold he couldn't feel his legs instead opening his eyes he saw skylor ahead of him she was purple and yep an andcondri then the spell realy did happen then he started to move jay notcing he's awake
"Welcome to the land of the living sssleepy head" Jay stated letting kai stand on his own nope he fell face first into the ground
"It takes sssome getting used to" skylor stated "just trust your instincts and you ssshould be able to walk or slither" kai looked to him self he was a snake an adcondri jay looked over him in support at kais fear
"Itsss ok well fix it" Jay stated
"OK ok how could this " kai stated pointing to his tail "be ok I'm a monsssster" Jay looked offended
"Your not a monster Ur kai idiot just now you have a tail no legsss and a hissss oh yeah and fangs and your purple that's it" kai felt comfort in his brother taking his hand and getting up "now to the otherssss" Jay finished kai following him and skylor towards the tournment grounds as soon as the others spotted jay they ran and hugged him when they saw skylor they expected it obvioslouly but when they saw kai he could see Zane had a look of indifrence running to hug his brother much to jays trying to push kai out of the way he questioned this before Zane made contact cold he felt like bursting into flames just to warm up. Jay then reminded Zane kais cold blooded Zane let go and apologised Cole walked over smilling Zane then explained how they can summon thier dragons kai couldn't he was scared of him self much to jays constant reminder he's still him catching a ride with jay.
The andcondri general stated that he wouldn't be able to return to his human self for some reason granting him legs much to his relief he didn't know how long he could last with only a tail to move around with diong missions but dispite their support when he went out to just get something for nya he was attacked and pushed into trash bin how the hell did jay deal with this kai slowly went deep into depression he hates this so much it was fine at first then he learned he couldn't enjoy ice cream touch or even hug Zane which he just wants to do after he 'died', Cole had told him it was ok that everything would be ok but kai felt no knew he was lying trying to make him feel better, Wu didn't care he over came his prejudice a while ago when jay turned he learned to appreciate the serpints viating to have deep chats with acdicus and fill in any blanks in thier history because of the war. Nya comforted her brother after turning into a snake but he just pushed her away because he her seeing him like this a monster he felt guilty calling himself a monster because it meant no he wasn't calling jay a monster just himself because he was.
"Kai buddy you ok" he herd jay ask as he walked in sitting next to him
"Yes, I am fine jay you don't have to worry." he was lying, but he didn't want to burden jay as his tongue flicked out he flashed his hands over his snout. Jay noticed this.
"Realy you don't look fine you ok what happened today Zane said when u got home u ran to ur room" Jay stated looking at kai worryingly noticing one his eyes appeared darkened and bruised "kai is that a black eye what happened and don't lie I will know kai"
Kai stared at jay contplating before rage consumed who was jay to tell him to burden the others with his issues when they had been through unf "OK OK YOU WANT THE TRUTH EVER SINCE I WAS TURNED INTO THIS MONSTER I HAVE BEEN RAN OUT OF BUILDINGSSS KICKED INTO TRASH CANSSS AND CALLED EVERY SLUR UNDER THE FSM DAM SSSSSSUN" kai stopped seeing jay look shocked hurt and mercifully for him notcing jays till wrap around his leg before he spoke with a calm yet firm vioce
"Kai what do you think I've been through your kinda lucky you were turned after the whole war and devour fiasssco so you didn't have to deal with being chased out of city's just for existing thier or ssssee entire riots entered around killing you all yes I acknowledge you've been through a lot but never kai calm yourssself a monsssster for being a ssssnake because the ur calling every dam assertive a snake and that's jussst crazy kai your not a monster we don't hate u did you or the othersss hate me for being a ssssnake no sssso don't go giving me that" Jay souned angry after menching the monster remark he was right he was hating himself for no reason and its not like he's alone ethier there was Lloyd Zane Cole nya of course and jay he'd been through this he could relate.
"OK jay I'm sorry but I am a monster jussst look at me" Jay sat next to him hugging him
"It can be tough but you will get through it kai sometimes it just takes strength brother hey now we can realy be mean to the others" kai looked to jay confused
"What do you mean" jays smile turned to one of sinster intent
"Well sensi wants us to hand out fliers but I kinda dumped our stuff on Cole and Zane because we'll ninjagos view on ssssnakesss isn't the best" kai smilled at jay he was looking out for them kai finally left his room to talk to the others catching Coles glare he wanted to kill both kai and jay for being snakes or jion them he wasn't to sure which Zane went over to check kais eye but jay stopped him Zane then rembered why he wasn't allowed to check kai or jay and left Lloyd left to leaving the two alone with sensi and of course they got tasked with cleaning everything the kai noticed something an absence he felt colder he didn't have his element jay had his but he'd always had greater access to his more than kai could sensi saying that jay drew his from himself not Lloyd which always bugged kai why was the most annoying the 2nd elementaly strongest.
"Sensi where's my fire"
