Not sure if this is something people actually want, but why not! So here's a little snippet of the process I'm going through to design a charm/keychain/whatever.
To start, I've been searching around for vintage stock art to use as inspiration. I found a bunch of public domain snake images, and immediately went to Ed thrashing the fuck outta a snake in E7. I really liked the snake skeleton I'd found, so I used that to do this initial design.
I wanted to keep an offset around the skeleton and have the text be a 360° thing. I also ended up hating this. So I adjusted and tried reducing the offset and changing the outside offset a bit.
It's a little better but it still just doesn't work for some reason.
So I decided to start from another image - this one a raster image of a full snake. Due to various fuck ups on my end, it ended up way too dark/deep, but the overall shape still wasn't working for me.
I like the shape a lot better, it's a lot more dynamic, and I might still go back and fiddle with it, but I found myself annoyed enough to scrap it. BUT, I did keep at the snake theme, and wanted to try once more.
So this time I went with the Snake Snacks idea.
Def not perfect, and could maybe use some refining, but I like it a lot more! I'm still working on both, but this is a little bit of a here-to-there.
