So I was already thinking about the concept of Gidleon Lap time but this conversation under my Wintersberg Lap time post sealed the deal so here u go

Victor is so obsessed with Leon because, without his visor that lets him see better Leon is a very Bright Shape in his vision and he is therefore Very Pretty to him :( (he looks like an angel, it is the reflection of Leon’s soul on Victor’s eyes.)
Something something Victor is so infatuated with Leon simply because he finds him so pretty it makes him sick but Victor’s survivor guilt makes him feel like he is tainting Leon by simply witnessing him.
I say this like Victor’s a paranormal entity of some kind but in reality he’s just Really Fucking Blind (me fr) and primarily sees the world by how light reflects off of things in an incredibly blurry sense and in extremely overwhelming headache inducing amounts of color. (One of the primary features he can make out, is that Leon has pretty greenish blue eyes.)
Honestly the world for him, in my minds eye with how I describe the above looks like a very roughed out, unfinished oil or watercolor painting depending on the lighting, and therefore Leon looks like a dead painter’s favorite muse who died before they could finish painting him (what Victor is able to see with his visor on.)
(In other words, highly confused ex police officer realizes the Very Large socially awkward farm boy has a crush on him because he keeps peering at him like he’s the most beautiful thing he’s ever seen (he is), and he finds it cute)
