The progress & completion of the largest cross stitch I've done to date. This gal took me a little over 16 months to complete, and honestly I think it was sped up for being in quarantine. I'm so glad to have her framed & hanging up in my home

After being in the U.S. for two weeks, I finally went into a Michaels last Saturday and I can only say: PARADISE!!! So much crafting stuff, I had never been in a place so marvelous.
I promise, I wasn’t going to buy anything (maybe a little something like a small paper pad for scrapbooking, but nothing substantial), after all I have to go back home and luggage weight is limited, but... something happened when I saw all those cross stitching supplies. So cheap! So many! So shinny! And they are weightless, right? Ok, so I was weak and they had black aida, sue me. I went out the store with supplies for the “fan of space” sampler from Wild Violet Cross Stitch, including a snap frame that was in my Amazon wishlist but I’m not sure I would have bought if I didn’t have it in 3D in front of my eyes. So, thanks @shitpostsampler for making me a cross stitching addict, I didn’t last 3 weeks before buying supplies.
Behold, my new stuff! (Scissors and needles not pictured because they are boring).
I already started stitching, of course, and the frame thing is so much comfortable than a hoop! I bought the small one, so let’s see how it behaves when I have to clamp stitched parts.
This is what I’m making, just in case you don’t feel like scrolling through Wild Violet’s gumroad:
Finally invested in a snap frame...not sure what I was waiting for!!
