Just finished making a new pony hood! I didn't take many progress photos this time around, but figured I'd drop some here anyway. Mostly, I liked the pseudo-piping look that the pieces had when I beveled the edges after the first coat of dye. I might think about finished projects that would look good with that treatment.
This one is very black-on-black. The mane is a thick garment leather to match a tail I made a little bit ago. The forehead, snout and ears are a pre-finished leather with a flat lustrous finish, and the rest is regular veg-tan leather dyed black with a glossy top coat.
The first one of these I made was pink and white, I need to dig back and post the photos of it. I'd gotten it done immediately before ANE, and it sold at the con. I'm hoping to make more of these going forward. There's a couple tweaks I'd like to make to the design to make it even better.

25/11/25 Blackwing Brotherhood, MicroFic Game Jam, 200 Word RPG
Alrighty. Time to plan what to work on. Blackwing Brotherhood -> 6 days left. I want to finish the first draft of rules by tomorrow latest. So that'd be:
Gameplay Loop (details and encounters for Arrival, Find a Clue, Discover the Body, Perform the Rites)
Consequences (keep it simple. when your Soul drops below a certain point you the GM describes a Fracture: an outward physical change (e.g. literal cracks in the body) or a feeling (e.g heavy, scared) [you get to choose]. Record it. Whenever you roll a one, the result is automatically set to 0 because of your Fracture. + consequence that can be directly inflicted on players
8 Trust Abilities
Soul (one word to describe it, and how many points you have) FOCUS ON FINISHING and also DON'T MAKE THINGS TOO COMPLICATED AHHHHH (don't add new rules. I'm begging you.) MicroFic -> much simpler. come up with 3 pitches no need to fully flesh them out 200 Word RPG -> come up with an idea for it

Movement brief 01/02/24 part 2
Here is a video of me in the process of painting the cut outs.
I had placed cardboard paper under them to protect the floor. When moving the cuts outs off the paper, the abstract pattern underneath gripped my attention. The brush strokes almost give off a sense of a body in movement on them.
Anyways, I am very happy with the progress and experimenting I made today.
