Apo is starving. Legundo tries to help. --- "Apo?" Apo whips around. Legundo stares back at her, his expression unreadable. "Are you alright?" He asks, his voice deceptively steady. Apo can hear how his pace quickens. His heart pounds endlessly against his ribs, like a rabbit caught in a trap. It draws Apo in like a siren's call. Skin tears as Apo curls her hand into a fist. She digs her claws in as deep as she can manage, the pain keeping her grounded. This is the middle of town, she reminds herself. Keep it together. "Just— getting something to eat." He's better at wading through the writhing, suffocating emotions until they settle down again, but tonight— tonight is different. And Dainix is at least aware enough to know that, regardless how he feels, the first thing he should do is find someone to keep him company before he does something stupid.

jagae's day off

Jagae Cookie gets sick, and for some reason, Manju Cookie is there to help. Jagae Cookie has no idea how to react to that. What happened to being rivals?? --- Normally, the hustle and bustle of a new port was a comforting thing. The familiar sounds of ship horns bellowing over the shouts of sailors, the cries of seagulls and the smell of salt and fish in the air… It's reminiscent of home, and always brought a swell of eager anticipation for all the new opportunities awaiting on shore. But not today. Today, Jagae Cookie would give anything to be anywhere but here. She grits her teeth as a sailor shouts directly in her ear, her headache bursting to life with new colors, digging its talons into the back of her skull deep enough that it surely cracks. But Jagae does not let her step falter— she has work to do, and she won't let a little headache stop her.
