Aslan: digging to China. What does it look like I'm doing? I'm getting a plane ticket and getting MY agent back

“WHY YOU SEE THE NEED TO MAKE SUCH A STATEMENT ENTIRELY ELUDES ME. HAD YOU A PURPOSE TO IT, OR WERE YOU MERELY ATTEMPTING TO FILL THE SILENCE? IF THE LATTER DO AT LEAST CONTRIBUTE SOMETHING USEFUL.”

 Irene gave a little sigh with the subtlest touch of the dramatic. His reaction had been worth it for the puzzled look on his face. That brief furrow of the brow, the consternation as he tried to make sense of her comment. Poor boy.

   “Forgive me- I forgot. You aren’t used to hearing compliments, are you?” She replied, reaching up to take her hair down. Dark curls tumbled around her shoulders as she removed her hair pins, one of which was much larger than the others. A decorative piece to the untrained eye.

 A handy dandy lock pick to a woman in the know. She brushed past him airily, towards the rooftop door that had slammed shut behind them. And then she set to work, trying to tease the lock open with delicate but practiced hands.

   “And there’s no need to be so stern, Sherlock. Nobody’s going to forget your big brain in a hurry.”
