Low-key the idea of Eddie in boots is an anachronistic modern post-subculture blend of all things into one rock aesthetic thing. Also wish fulfilment because thrash is so anti aesthetic, just a leather jacket and a dark denim moment, then the cropped/sleeves ripped off t-shirts and dangly earrings which are really a more California thing than a rural Indiana thing. Gareth is wearing a t-shit under his modified plaid shirt into vest, lol. Amazingly researched by the Stranger Things costume department. Eddie and his band are allergic to serving, their looks (unlike, say, Billy’s) are perfect for the time and not simply copies of media of the time and also instantly iconoclastic. Great for the show, bad for transformative works (also why all the costume tests before they land on the outfits feel wrong).
