The only thing that makes me wonder what's going on with drunk Rick is the fact that he setup all the other traps to kill people if they got the answer wrong. It's possible that the last trap was poorly setup so that anybody or anything could have been the right answer, but there's also a kinda worse answer. Morty was the person who was meant to be put on the pedestal, but drunk Rick still went ahead with framing it to be about Noob-Noob so he could insult Morty and hurt him. But yeah this

I was wondering about that. The idea that Rick actually intended for Morty to be put on the pedestal just so he could make the whole thing an elaborate “fuck you, you’re not actually important to me, yeah that’s right how does rejection feel motherfucker” message is pretty horrifying but does plausibly fall into the realm of things Rick might conceivably do. 

The assumption I had was that it was simply a size/weight based thing, that Morty weighed about as much as Noob Noob and that’s why he didn’t trigger a kill. EDIT: This was apparently confirmed by Dan Harmon on Twitter.

Something that supports that idea is the fact that Rick probably didn’t intend or expect himself or Morty to be there. The only reason they were is because he accidentally left his portal gun behind. Noob Noob was supposed to be there, only getting left behind because he had to clean up after Rick. So it’s reasonable to think when he built the trap he was expecting Noob Noob to be there, but Morty and himself to not be.

Still, either seems possible. Like you said, this is a very Rick Is Not A Good Guy season.

Dr. Beau, while definitely not a good person, was also victim to the merciless hands of their organization--they were desperate to provide results to save their own hide, an effort that would go entirely wasted. Hopeful ambition soon turned to desperate and cruel acts before their eventual demise.

It’s intelligent and wary of humans, so while it wouldn’t seek out a hug for fear of being seen, it would be confused and appreciative if it ever did get one.

When you’re a being of pure mind and soul without brainmeat and endorphines to keep stuff in check, intrusive thoughts take on a whole new dimension.

The monster totally knows this guy’s a ghost from the start because in either backstory scenario (monster is a victim vs. monster is former scientist) they were the one who killed him.

it likes fruit! Big sweet tooth in this thing. It has a high caloric demand but has had to scavenge dumpsters and such since its escape so it eats a lot of junk.

She laughed and said “I think you could make it work.” By now she’s so used to stuff like this she doesn’t bat an eye.

TAZ headcanon: At least one ex-friend of the crew was consumed by the Hunger and made part of it Or ithad the ability to present one version of itself as a friend upon first contact before it showed its true colors.

It’s probably the case that someone close to some, if not all of the crew, was consumed by the Hunger which is owch. Owch.

46! this goes out to @sneakteeth, who suggestion a tooth mage on Patreon. I...really wanted to do something dumb with this, and couldn’t resist adding the tooth fairy up in there. Wanted them to be more fairy themed originally but the classic hooded sketches ended up looking better, so here we are!

Were you ever given worksheets and plans of action for this stuff? When I was in the hospital for mental shit I found doing some work sheets helped keep my shit organized and gave me an idea of what to do in situations because my memory and illness would prevent me from seeing what to do otherwise. Plans of action are more concrete and help involve others when you alone can’t take on brain shit.

not really. the valium kinda short-circuited my panic but then i laid on my acupressure mat and lifted weights and i guess exertion used up some stuff. idk. i put the adventure zone on cause i kept trying to listen to it but id get up to like episode 5 and stopped. but i picked up from there
