Opinion in referencing fandoms?

I've seen a lot of like... actually I don't know popular fandoms these days #whups. BUT, the format of like "N/octis L/ucis C/aelum" or FF/15 and stuff and I know that's how you combat the search feature from snagging kink stuff. That's great but boy howdy is it unwieldy.

So here's what I'm thinking I'd do and I'd love some opinions. For fandoms, I'm thinking I'll change the tag by adding "Sf" on it. Well, sf.

See how it works? I don't know if it's what I need, but I can hope. I don't think I'm going to censor the character names unless, again, they're in tags. But we'll see?

Not me abusing IPA (the alphabet, not the beer) to figure out how to use the nice IPA symbols to spell snz.

Definitely not me using an automated system to pronounce it.

4) Do you create things? What do you make? (Again, snzfic, art, wavs, videos etc)

I write, actually! I've done things in the past before I forgot about the blog >_> and I just posted a particularly sneezy start to a longish original fic. (That link will take you to the series, in case I have more pieces when someone checks it out.) I do a little art, but my style is FAR too recognizable by vanillas who've seen me so. Just snzfic. Unless, I suppose, I start into doing like, mood boards. I do love those.

5) What are some of your favorite tropes / themes?

Off the top of my head.... sneezing while hiding was a favorite since forever, but it's evolved into more... desperately trying not to sneeze regardless of reason? Maybe they don't want to wake someone, maybe they know they'll fit if they do "it won't be just one"? sucker for that. Maybe they're just tired and their nose won't give them any peace. It's just so good?

in line with this, "trying to maintain politeness" - and then getting home, perhaps into the arms of a lover, and just losing it.

One person having the kink, and the other person being persuaded that, even if they don't get it, it's sure af hot how it works / turns on their partner.

I can talk about this for so long but there are other questions. MOVING ON.

7) What is your dream scenario, either to read / see or hear / watch in real time?

Okay so less moving on than thought. I love your question combos though! Right on the nose. ;) So my dream scenario... I haven't actually articulated this before, huh. Well here we go. Leaning into Partner A having a cold. It's not horrible so much as they're exhausted; they've been sneezing all day, their nose is already a definite pink - not red, it doesn't hurt exactly but it's so sensitive and a little tender and A is just done. Only A can't sleep. They're a little congested and even though they can still breathe alright, they've got this insidious tickling just crawling in their sinuses. More than once they've had to press the back of their hand, or a knuckle or a hanky, to their nose, hitchy and irritated and it just gets worse as the hours pass. After all that, sometime when it's dark and beyond frustrating, they make a tiny miserable sound and B is up immediately. The little huff of frustration at having woken B despite all that effort is the last straw. They sneeze and sneeze and sneeze, but it's different with B to take care of them. Perhaps they're up a little longer, tea and a bit of cold but soothing salve on the cold-pinkened tip of A's nose. They go back to bed, and A finally falls asleep with their head on B's chest. Something like that.

Really big fan of tissues / handkerchiefs so long as they're not used for mess. I cannot with mess.

Warmed blankets, or hot towels after a shower

Tea. Hot tea in a big mug.

Comfort items! Favorite mugs, favorite shows / books / music, stolen clothes that smell like their partner...

15) What are your top favorite ways to engage with your kink, by which I mean reading, looking at art, listening to .wavs / videos, browsing tumblr / forums etc.

Talking about "outside" things, I do a lot of reading and browsing Tumblr for it. I've been turned off for most available group things of late, but Tumblr's nice. I'd do Discord group servers but I shrink when there's a group.

However I adore writing it, or shooting ideas with friends, or even rp if someone is likeminded enough.

Making / sharing things I've written or thought about

Seeing what everyone else is up to. Seriously, I am a voracious reader and this stuff has so much reread value, if you get me.

17) What was the tipping point that made you want to make a fetish blog?

Getting disconnected from the forum, honestly, as well as not really being a blogger in the older ways of LJ, IJ, DW etc. I just.... missed the life of the community, and I missed sharing my work. I'm hoping to make some friends but we'll see.

19) What would you like to see more of, and are you trying to promote / add more of that into the community?

Interaction! I don't know how much was here already, I've sharply curated my blog, cutting out people no longer active, still looking for more people to follow. I'm a writer, I thrive on interaction - it actually makes me produce more work. Happy brain chemicals, man, don't underestimate them. Ha!

Okay but imagine

The Boss Character - you know the kind; stoic, always composed, super organized, extremely competent badass. Probably a little on the quiet side, has the world resting on his shoulders and likes it that way, loves the control it gives him.

99% of the time, he’s on top of it, he’s got a role to play and he owns it, without hesitation. No one else could ever fit the role so well, people can’t even imagine someone else filling the position. The boss is The Boss and that’s just the way things have always been.

Despite being a chronic overworker and always some shade of tired under his facade of complete control, however, he never seems to catch any of the bugs that sweep through the team.

Until he does.

It starts with an ominous little tickle, sort’ve hovering in between his nose and his throat, like he might cough but also is pretty sure he could sneeze at any moment. It’s distracting and he’s a little more curt than usual, but not so much that anyone thinks anything of it.

And it progresses, that tickle filling his nose with a tingling sensation that prickles right up to his sinuses, threatening far more than a single sneeze now. A little pressure under his nose is cliche but worth it, a fierce rub enough to stave it off a little longer. But it’s borrowed time.

While he’s alone in his office, he has to take the decoratively folded handkerchief from his pocket, hitching his way to a short, desperately needed fit that leaves him sniffling uneasily and not quite sated. It itches the way only the beginning of a bad cold does, deep and relentless, and he knows there’s going to be more. It’s all he can do to hold them back in front of the others.

When it gets to be too much, he manages to compress it down to a single stifle, sniffing quietly while getting a surprised side-eye for the rarity of it. But just as he ‘never’ sneezes, he ‘never’ gets sick, and no one would even think to suspect it. The Boss just doesn’t get sick.

More accurately, the Boss doesn’t get caught. But they don’t need to know that. He keeps it quiet, tiny sniffles and a discreet rub when the tingling irritation begins to get a little too close to provoking another sneeze. He has a reputation to maintain, after all, and will suffer in silence, only letting himself get relief when he’s alone.

Bonus: The Boss has a partner, either for work, a lover, or both. They know each other like the back of their hand. And they know at a glance that something’s up. Not that they make a fuss in front of the team, but they do a little sleuthing around before finally confronting them. By this point, the cold is in full swing, and the Boss is willing to allow this one exception for a little, discreet caretaking. After hours, of course.

Okay but imagine

(Character) is not usually sneezy, but they sometimes get the feeling and it just lingers, this constant itch too high up in their passages for rubbing to do any good, and every breath tingles. And they feel like each time they’re going to sneeze, they need to sneeze, it’s driving them insane, but all they can do is sit there and sniffle. It gets so bad their breath hitches, just this little h’hh! that nobody notices, and they’re starting to get glassy eyed because it’s just so bad and then, then-

They finally sneeze, sharp and hard and god what a relief. They sigh softly in utter satisfaction and rub their nose for good measure before getting back to whatever they were trying to do all along.
