If Eren choose to do the rumbling, it going to be so interesting when eren loses control over them.

Hundreds of CTs on the loose. What would possibly go wrong??

While Armin’s imagination has the Wall Titans looking toward the ocean, it’s been pointed out before that they are actually facing inward, towards Shiganshina, towards the people they are supposedly protecting. 

The only successful use we’ve seen of mindless titans in battle is when Zeke directs titans he’s created with his own spinal fluid*. These Wall Titans were created with the will and purpose of Karl Fritz. It follows that they obey him.

Those titans seem to be in place to destroy Paradis in case of this exact scenario. The hope is that Eren will be able override their original programming, but it’s something that’s been totally untested. I have zero confidence in this going as planned. It’s just as possible the CTs will be focused on tearing down the walls rather than going after the world’s military. 

Eren has the FT, but can’t power it without Zeke’s help. There’s so much room for error here.

(*Edit: It’s true Eren used the titan successfully in clash, but those were mindless titans created by Marleyan injection. They had no direction or will until Eren gave them one )

The last anime eps got me considering something I didn’t in the manga— when Hanji is questioning Eren in the cell and Levi says it’s a phase, it seems both of them didn’t pick up on the possibility that Eren was dealing with traumatizing memories. The animation made Hanji’s comments seem more harsh to me & Levi more dismissive, which seems a little odd. Ofc, they are also going through a LOT as well. I wonder if this played a part in Eren closing himself off later. How did you interpret it?

It’s hard to work this moment into serious meta when it feels like it was done primarily for humor. The snk artists drawing everyone in the same pose as Hange and Eren sort of emphasizes that point. 

I usually appreciate Isayama dropping little bits of comedy into serious situations but this is one of those times that it didn’t work for me. Not in the manga, not in the anime. It always felt out of place. 

So I don’t know if it played a part in Eren closing himself off or if that was just inevitable, but shortly after this Eren closed himself from everyone including Armin and Mikasa, the people who would most sympathize and understand.

Hi Mom! I was wondering something. When Eren unlocks Grisha's memories, does the gesture of grabbing his wrist means something? and how is it related with the Shingeki no Kyojin? Sorry for my english! I love your blog!

I’d love to know this too, especially since the anime team turned Hange’s imitation of Eren’s pose into a meme with Sasha, Jean and Connie. Was it just to be funny or do they know something we don’t?

My answer is boring. Eren bites his hand to transform. His pose in the jail cell upon learning his titan’s name is reminiscent of that. It may be that Eren was simply making the mental connection that the titan power he hold is the attack titan power Kruger was telling Grisha about.

I don't know if this was asked before so I'm sorry if it was in advance. In chap 89 Levi told Eren that even if making an example of people through discipline is for show, it is important to any organization. Now I know that Eren's attack on Liberio was sth beyond critical, and Levi said "we restrain you for now" in chap 106, but do you think his arrestment this time was for show too?

Hi there, No, I’ve never been asked this before :) 

Eren’s arrest and detainment in chapter 106 was for real. Not only was he held in solitary confinement for a month, but the plan was to strip him of his titan power by feeding him to someone else. 

The situation in 89 was completely different. While Eren and Mikasa displayed insubordination, Levi accepted full responsibility for the outcome of the events on the roof in Shiganshina. He didn’t blame Eren or Mikasa for what happened.

In chapter 89, the Survey Corps felt like they couldn’t afford to punish Eren because they still trusted his intentions. In chapter 106 when he went behind them and sided with Zeke, it was no longer so easy to give him the benefit of the doubt. In recent chapters we’ve seen not just the military, but his closest friends all struggling with this.
