Armin my beloved
They really went and put this in to the trailer huh...
Why this theme belongs to Armin
(well, imo anyway? Lemme obsess okay it's all I've listened to for 3 months straight)
Alright, so this theme hasn't been used in Season 4 so far. Not in Part 1, 2 or even 3 (I have gone through P3 again and again but didn't seem to hear this anywhere, but if anybody knows better, please tell).
Which means it will be used in P4. For what scene we can only speculate. Some say it will be used when Falco makes his entrance with Annie and Gabi.
The theme immediately before this one is Guilty Hero, which was used when Zeke sold out his parents to Marley. Now, Guilty Hero is sad, tragic, hopeless, filled with regrets - you get the feeling of 'I know I made the wrong choices but I was only trying to be a Hero'. The Successor, coming immediately afterwards, is loud, grand, majestic, motivational and full of hope.
To me, this theme screams Armin in its entirety. The reason I say that is because Armin is an extremely well written representation of "Hope amongst Despair". What he stands for in SnK is humanity - the trait.
Humans collectively have several different facets. Greed, selfishness, hatred, obsession and so on. For each, there is at least one character in SnK representing them and I'm not gonna get into that for now. But what does Armin represent? Humanity, as in compassion, kindness and understanding. While appearing outwardly weak in terms of physical prowess and being vulnerable to things like self-hatred, self-doubt and low self-esteem, he is strong in his convictions and beliefs in not engaging in bloodshed unless left with no other choice. Strong in his willingness to understand, above all else, before drawing his blades. In SnK's brutally cruel world (that mirrors our own real world in several ways), it is sheer strength and courage to consider your swords and bullets as only a last resort. And if you know how SnK ends, you know what his idea of freedom is. The little beautiful moments that permeate our larger sense of life as a whole.
Armin is a majestic character, and this is, imo, a fact I hope everyone can slowly grow to appreciate over time.
So when I listen to The Successor, I think nothing could suit him better. It starts out in soft grandeur and gently grows in splendour... Optimism, hope, faith and strength swell to the brim and when the horns hit at the 2:08 mark, it overflows. Armin is in a way, really, the "successor" to the story once it ends. The future of the world post rumbling is in what he can make of it, from what his visions entail. So I really think it fits him.
I'm reminded of how in S3, Armin's heroic and brave sacrifice before Bertholdt was amplified by the track SymphonicSuite Part 2-2nd: Shingekinokyojin and my god, was that a MAJESTIC theme!!! So I'm really hoping The Successor is used for Armin in S4 Part4 in some way at least. Regardless, even if I'm wrong, in my heart, this one belongs to Armin Arlert, 15th Commander of the Survey Corps.
Attack on Titan The Final Season Part 2 New Key Visual
My scanslations of the first 4 Chimichara Yonkomas for the final season!
"All that ends this brutal game is not the weapon nor the skill. Reach out for the desire and awaken your will to kill"
"Go and free your mind, immerse yourself in unstoppable killer instinct
Bring back the hope, illuminate the darkness"
"Offerings of reckless courage Freedom for us all"
"Those who only complain about their Helplessness will not change a thing The boy will pick up the black sword Hate and anger are a two-edged blade And soon it will show its teeth"

A CRACK THEORY
Looking at the AOT FINAL Exhibition Poster
I can't help but think that this guy
Is LEVI ACKERMAN. Like, LOOK AT THOSE HIDDEN missing TWO FINGERS. Was this FORESHADOWING??? Also the hair. LOOK AT THE HAIR. Coincidence? I think not! That's definitely not Eren because that's not the way his hair is styled and he's already in his Titan form here.
Also, notice that the poster mostly has Titans in it. Including Mikasa yes coz Ackermans are basically titans in human form. So who else is that guy gonna be, right?
One question is, why does it looks like Levi the one in control? I mean, maybe they just conviniently drew it like that to form a Collosal Titan but still. This is AOT and Isayama we are talking about.
Does Levi still have a BIG, VITAL role in the ending? Hopefully. Is he hiding something? Is he and Mikasa gonna do something big and game-changing? For they are both emphasized in this poster.
Or will the Ackermans conquer and take control of the Paths. Lol.
MY HEART IS BEATING SO FAST!!!!
