Yes! you're SO RIGHT! Levi's on the plane actively discussing the plan and other options with Armin, and people still refuses to believe he also wants to stop Eren and the Rumbling, I am so confused to how they really want Levi to act. He can both kick Eren's and Zeke's ass :D that's going to be fun to me.
Thanks for your support, Anon, I appreciate that a lot uwu, but ehh I kinda disagree with you here haha. Sorry. And sorry for using this ask to talk about something a little bit different.
I guess I’ll say what I think about the whole Levi situation for the first and the last time just to make it clear. And if the upcoming chapters prove me wrong, well, that’s ok too. I’ll accept it :)
In short: I don’t think Levi wants to kick Eren’s ass. Well, maybe he’d love to do it literally just out of frustration, like here:
(In fact, I also think that his “come out Ereh Imma kick your butt real quick” was not an actual threat, just a little cute bitchy remark)
But I don’t think Levi wants to fight Eren. This is why when he’s talking about it with Armin, the phrase final resort is being used. Why would they even discuss ways to stop the rumbling without fighting Eren if all Levi was thinking about was killing the brat and ending it all?
Back in the ch112 he basically does the same thing he did in the ch133: he said “ok but consider this: we don’t have to kill Eren, we can kill Zeke instead”. He’s really looking for the alternatives. And it’s not just about him sacrificing so much for Eren’s sake already (this too of course). Shipping aside, Eren is still important to him.
Levi’s surely ready to kick Zeke’s ass, he doesn’t have any good associations with him whatsoever. Zeke to him is still just a douchebag who doesn’t value human’s life and kills his (Levi’s) people left and right. So yeah, if there is a possibility that he can avoid fighting Eren by killing Zeke, Levi’d gladly take this route. In fact, this is the best case scenario to him. Otherwise, he’d jump right out of the plane to fight Eren right away (or ask Armin to do the colossus thingie for that matter), but hey, he doesn’t do that, does he. Instead, he’s talking about killing Zeke. Again.
He wants to try out Armin’s plan, he wants to try to kill Zeke first and fighting and possibly killing Eren is a final resort to him, just like to all of them.
And if the “kill Zeke @ save everyone” plan doesn’t work, I think Levi will have to make a choice: to fight Eren (and he doesn’t want to do that) because there is no other way to stop him (more like he’ll HAVE TO, it’s not his dream or wish or whatever) or…… to ditch fighting Eren. Yeah, I think it’s a possibility that Levi can let Eren do whatever he wants and have a “fuck it all” attitude at the end. I don’t have anything to base the second option off, I just think it’s a cool conclusion to his character – having so much power that he feels responsible for everyone, and now he doesn’t have the power or people he wants to protect, apart from his squad... Giving up would make an interesting turn for his character, that’s all.
Yep, once again Levi has to make a choice that he’ll regret the least, so I think it’d be cool to see this type of inner conflict in him (I’m already seeing it tho lol). And I think it’ll lead to more desperate outcome, which is very fitting to the story.
Of course, I am biased here and of course I want Levi to submit to Eren is some way or another lol but still I think Levi refusing to fight (or at least being hesitant) is a possibility. As I mentioned before, this particular thing is a speculation on my part, but what I am absolutely sure about is that Levi would love to avoid fighting Eren.
Only time will tell.
And with Zeke, yeah, please let Levi fight him already lol
And Levi’s asking everyone to lend him strength??? Bruh... I mean, I know he can still fight but looking back when he was called a one-man army is just...
Let’s reunite on this day to pray that our will for Eren's point of view to be in the majority in the center of Chap 133 will finally be granted to us.
