        𝙞𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙢 𝙡𝙞𝙫𝙚.  𝙖  𝙣𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙞𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙨𝙩’𝙨  𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙚.   reggie’s  place  to  resort  when  boredom  struck  in  a  palace  too  often  empty.  parents  on a  business trip   (   as  always  )  out  living  lavishly  in  the  private  jet  instead  of  spending  time  with  their  own  son.  pity.  social  media  interested  the  mantle  prince  more  anyway,  an easy avenue for attention when he didn’t feel like asking for it.  a  platform where he got to talk aimlessly about his favorite thing:  HIMSELF.  and yeah, the fans too. his following was nothing to sneeze at,  himself ever  the  influencer in some sense on all platforms, but it wasn’t like people didn’t have anything better to do.  he opens the stream and waits for his audience to pour in, before taking questions.

      gaze  squints  at  the  small,  fast-paced  print that pops up in the comments,  asking  him  random questions until  a classmate  brings  up  what  should be a harmless game.     SMASH  OR  PASS:  RIVERDALE  HIGH EDITION.       it’s  extremely effective in garnering his attention.   ❝    𝙨𝙢𝙖𝙨𝙝 𝙤𝙧 𝙥𝙖𝙨𝙨 ?  𝙖𝙡𝙧𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩, 𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙚.     since  you  vultures  are dying to know who mantle the magnificent   would  spend  a  night  with  ...  shoot.  i’ll answer.   ❞    the comments start pouring in, from those with personal investment to those with genuine curiosity. some people submitting themselves, others curious about recent gossip that’d been floating around. the interest is overwhelming but more ... ego - boosting  if he was being honest.  who knew so many people wanted to know what criteria there was for getting in his smoking hot pants.  may as well give the people what they want:

         SWEATER  VEST  IS  GONE  TONIGHT,  SELF  CONTROL  GONE  WITH  IT.     she’s  a  shark  when  it  comes  to  fun ;   one  taste  of  blood  and  she  wants  more.   chest  full  of  giggles,  any  badmouthing  about  the  whyte  worm  completely  forgotten  as  she  dances  with  the  comfort  that  no  one  was  watching  her  for  once.  that  is --   until  familiar  eyes  catch  her  gaze,  her  own  lip  bitten  as  eye  contact  remains.  once  the  song  changes,  courtney  makes  her  way  over  ;   still  articulate  in  spite  of  the  current  vodka - induced  buzz.    ❛   i’m  having  so  much  fun  tonight !!   i  can’t  believe  you  guys  hang  out  here  all  the  time,  ❜   hands  move  to  his  chest  as  she  steadies  herself,  grinning  up  at the  tall  other  with  another  giggle.

           IT  WAS  SURPRISING  THAT  SUCH  A  SMALL  TOWN  COULD  CONTAIN  CHANEL  OBERLIN’S  EGO.       when she heard that there was a party happening on the southside,  why,  she knew she just had to upstage it somehow.  nothing would be more pathetic than watching their little soirée fall apart because of the existence of a more expensive, more impressive party happening at CHEZ  OBERLIN.   as bodies begin to pool in,  hands clap together excitedly as sequins shuffle and heels clack when she descends the staircase.    ❝  congratulations --  you have proven me wrong,  ❞   she greets,  trill of a voice lulling her subjects into a false sense of security.  ❝  as it turns out,  MOST  OF  YOU  have taste,  which is why you are here and not at a hoe down by the crick ,  ❞    piercing gaze lands on a rather angry set of daggers --  her smile only widens,  knowing how PISSED he must be that she’s ruined whatever evening he was planning to have with the serpents to uplift the spirits of the south side.  oh well.
