I spent quite a long time being the third while while these two snogged and licked each other's faces that I seriously feel like I am a vital part of this relationship. (I needed some space though to figure out if I was ready for this 😅). Loved your last anon answer! I feel the exact same way. I like to speculate, and think about the possibility of them being together...why not? It would be great if they were, but that's where it ends. I don't understand why every detail of GA/DD's lives has to spell confirmation, just like I don't get why some find it ridiculous or silly to imagine them together. I wish people could just chill. We'll get a season 11, they both seem happy, they are having sunny careers right now, it's all good.

Lately, it seems the extremists are aggressively dominating the “Gillovny” space. As that space goes from the fun, self-deprecating, ironic antics of the Gillovny culture and degenerates into hardcore snogger territory, the more the moderates like me (and you, I suspect) no longer want to be associated with it. It’s unfortunate, but the trend is pretty obvious.

how is gillovny different from snogger?

Traditional snoggers have been around since the 90s and these people do not seem…okay. They insisted David and Gillian were a couple - even when they were married to other people, that David fathered Piper, etc. They also expressed complete and total hatred toward Tea - for no other reason than having been involved with David. Snoggers were typically hostile and unreasonable and most fans from back in the day generally despised them and felt embarrassed by their existence in the fandom….which is why you’ll still find older fans reluctant to embrace the “Gillovny” culture, imo. 

Gillovny seems far more tongue-in-cheek to me. There are some self-proclaimed Gillovnyists that just think David and Gillian are adorable together and ship them. There are hardcore Gillovnyists who believe them to be together - but still love Tea, 100% respect those who don’t agree with them, and are just cool people who think David and Gillian are now a couple. Gillovnyists also generally seem to have a strong sense of humour about being Gillovny in the first place - thus, all the jokes about “Gillovny Trash.” Where snoggers gave off a scary vibe of obsessed-fans-gone-mad, Gillovnyists generally seem to be having a laugh.

I'm really trying not to feel any pressure to get into a relationship.

But it gets old being the 3rd wheel of my friends all the time.

I don't even know if relationships are even natural for people to be in because it seems so forced by society.
