"You probably don't know this, but the Panchatantra is an ancient (like, the 3rd or 4th century) Indian collection of animal fables. The Cobra here is from one of the stories, sometimes translated as the Brahmani and the Mongoose, upon which famous racist Rudyard Kipling (yes, the Jungle Book guy, and yes, the White Man's Burden guy) based Rikki-Tikki-Tavi. Anyway all that aside, this specific cobra definitely tried to kill a child though, so, weigh those facts accordingly!"

Okay, so, what’s Tzik’nith’s deal?

Before coming across Tzik’nith and her clan, all the lamia you encounter in The Elder Scrolls Online are nameless, non-speaking hostiles.  She and her sistren are involuntary inhabitants of Coldharbour, the personal realm of Molag Bal (the Daedric Prince of domination, brutality, enslavement, and corruption). They reside in The Moonless Walk (a foresty region) alongside the Shadow Walkers, a clan of Wood Elves who forged a pact with Molag Bal.  The lamia and the elves view one another as monsters and have been warring for ages. In exchange for assistance entering the Lightless Oubliette (a tower that an important guy is imprisoned in), you must side with one of them. If you ally yourself with Tzik’nith’s clan, she’ll first ask you to rescue all the lamia eggs that the Shadow Walkers have stolen.  Later on in the main storyline, depending on who you sided with, either Tzik’nith or Faraniel of the Shadow Walkers can be brought along in battle against Molag Bal’s forces. Tzik’nith attacks by spitting LIGHTNING!
