Captain Hook stood tall beside her, the polished deck creaking beneath his boots as the sea wind tousled his dark curls. His hand rested lightly on the small of Snow White’s back—more guiding than possessive, though the glint in his eye suggested he knew exactly what he was doing.
She smiled, as he led her past the rigging and toward the helm.
“Oh, there, there,” he murmured, grinning down at her, voice low and teasing. “Forget being a pirate, my little dove. What I really need is a feminine touch at the helm. Or perhaps… a woman with a taste for danger.”
She tilted her head, a soft giggle escaping her lips—light and sudden, like a bird startled into song. “I suppose I’ve always been good at keeping unruly men in line,” she said, brushing a hand over her skirts. “Though I imagine a Captain doesn’t stay in line for long… unless he wants to~”
Hook’s grin widened, clearly delighted. “Bold of you to assume you can keep me in line. But I suppose mutiny has never looked quite so charming~”
She twirled beneath his arm, skirt fluttering, and he caught her hand, then dipped her low with a grin that made her laugh again.
“Careful, Captain,” she said, breathless with amusement. “I might just steal your ship and your heart.”
He leaned in, voice a velvet threat. “Too late, love. You’ve already got both.”

NOTES:
Okay, I made this manip for my friend @groovy-lady, who introduced me to this ship and got me completely obsessed! The more I thought about these two, the more their banter and dynamic took over my brain and before I knew it, this little doozy of a ficlet poured out of me.
I'm cringe but I'm free.
