snow day spell

purpose: to summon enough snow overnight so any obligations the next day are cancelled. this one isn't going to bring snow when it's not on the forecast, it more just helps with the odds of enough snow falling to close work/school/etc. use care when deciding if it's appropriate to use this.

timing: the night before snow is expected

ingredients:

bowl

ice cubes

small representation of your home/area (such as an herb, a drawing, a piece of lint, etc. must be biodegradable)

rosemary (for luck)

white sugar (about 2 or 3 tablespoons is plenty)

instructions:

place your representation of home in the bowl. add the rosemary

place the ice cubes on top of this

sprinkle sugar on top from high above while saying "i wish for piles of snow, such that my home is buried come morning"

charge it however you want (i meditated on it and called on the spirits nearby)

toss the contents of the bowl outside and go to bed

A Hasty Snow Day Spell

Needed:

- majon jar

-white fabric

- thread ( blue if available )

- sugar

- moon water

- Quartz

Steps:

- fill your jar about 1/4 full of moonwater

- add sugar (two spoons) and mix.

-wrap your quartz up in your white fabric and bind it closed with your thread.

- use excess fabric to cover the opening of the jar before screwing the top back on. The goal is to suspend the cloth and quartz in the jar above the waterline.

- take the whole jar and place it in your fridge. Leave until you get your desired amount of snow and then disassemble to deactivate the spell!

The Power of Snow

Snow has this way of brightening everything. Have you ever noticed that you can see at night when theres snow on the ground? Its like when it snows, the entire world can suddenly magnify the light of the sun and moon. I think snow is very powerful.

Here are the energies I get from snow and the symbolism behind it:

Purifying - the world is now covered in a blanket of white, a color of purity. The fridgid temperature cleanses disease.

Preserving - Snow can preserve food if the food is kept cool by it.

Trapping - snow packs into a hard bal of ice very easily, effectively ensnaring whatever you like within

Tranquility - Snow knows how to take life as it comes, It gives way for anything landing on it, but packs firmly beneath that object. It is also made of water.

Death and Sleep - the first snowfall begins the hybernation and death of all things, as the cycle goes.

Air and Water - Snow is the child of Air and Water as is any form of weather involving water from the sky.

As the snow falls in your neigborhood, resist the urge to hide from it. Use this plentiful magickal resource!

Banishing negative energy.

This one's a simple one:

Take black tourmaline (or another symbol that absorbs negative energies) and hold it, focusing all your negative energy into it.

Take the (or replacement) outside and form a snowball around it. Pack it thickly around the object.

Throw said snowball as far as you can to banish negative energies and watch the snow scatter as it goes, sending the energy into the earth to be repurposed.

Snow Spell

I didn’t want to go to school so I did this spell about a week ago and it finally worked we’re getting 8-15” tonight! :D

Ingredients:

- cauldron or something that’s fireproof

- matches

- blue or white string/thread

- blue candle shavings

- sigil for snow

Directions:

1. Put sigil on paper, fold it, tie the string around it

2. Put the paper in the cauldron and right before lighting the match say: “When this burns it will snow. The wind will whip and blow covering the ground in snow and put ice on the roads. When this lights it will be so.”

3. Light the paper and string

4. Sprinkle the candle shavings over the fire like snow

5. Dispose of ashes

Daily Spell: February 15

Angry Snow Spell by Patti Wigington. For anger issues or for when you are angry.

What you need:

A bucket

Snow

1.) Fill the bucket with freshly fallen snow. Imagine all the things that make you frustrated and angry right now and picture those things traveling from your brain into your hands. Once your anger is revved up an centered in your fingertips, plunge your hands into the bucket of snow. Say “Anger be gone, into the snow, away from me, into the snow, out of my heart, into the snow, out of my mind, and into the snow”

2.) Pull your hands out of the bucket. Take the bucket someplace far from your home and dump the snow on the ground. As the snow gradually melts away so will your anger.
