How to protect your online spaces: Witch Edition
-Obviously, blocking and ignoring any who wish you harm will be the most effective.
-Put sigils on any photos you post- artwork, selfies, etc. You can make your own or use ones premade, just charge them with the intent that 1) no one can use them without your permission, 2) unwanted people will never be able to see them properly, 3) no one can use them as taglocks.
-To protect blogs/accounts, you can put an emoji or a word/phrase in your bio to protect you- simply have the intention "My blog/account is protected against all who wish me harm."
-Cleanse your devices! I use a mixture of incense for my PC (air element to match cooling fans, etc), and absorbing negative energy with salt (earth element, for all the metals and such used to make the device).
-Protective spell jars. I have the intent that no one unwanted accesses my accounts, whether to spy, cause trouble, etc.
-DNI's and TOS are also great mundane ways to weed out people you don't want. For example, on my stim/moodboard blog, I have a DNI banner that goes on all my posts- if anyone breaks that boundary, they get added to the blocklist.
"Begone, Transphobe!"
Curse a terf! in minecraft! (actually!)
You'll need:
a working copy of minecraft
in game:
redstone dust
white candles
campfire
black shulker box
a book and quill with your intent written inside (i wrote "May any terfs, transphobes, or any one else intending to cause harm against the lgbt community be harmed threefold")
a "poppet" (a totem of undying or mob head labeled "transphobe")
spider's eye
rotten flesh
wither rose
moon water (made by leaving a cauldron of water in the moonlight overnight)
a black candle
cast a "circle" by laying redstone down in a square around your desired area, place and light white candles in the corners of the square
to smoke cleanse, place a campfire
dig down a few blocks and place the shulker box
fill box with "poppet", book, spider's eye, rotten flesh, and wither rose. focus on your intent
place grass box on top of shulker box, effectively burying it
place a black candle on top of the burial site to "seal" it, and close your circle. opt: place redstone around the candle for extra potency
also!! dont do a curse if you dont feel prepared enough to do so/dont feel safe doing so!!
alternatively, you can do a protection spell to help protect trans people!!
real witches know that trans rights are human rights!
One notebook, one minute, and one pen to change your life
I am actually trying bullet journaling which is why the article caught my eye.
My fellow Witchlings, the part in the article that really struck home:
For some reason this made me think of my spell record format that I have.
Below is example of a spell that I watched on YouTube from Rachel Patterson and wrote down.
As for the connection between the bullet journal article and spell record format is this: keeping track of the spellwork/jar/charm/talisman you do and the outcome will help you see the evidence of what has and has not worked in your magicks. I always review twice a month to once a week the spells I have cast in order to notate an update or not.
The part that is not on this is that after casting, I do a tarot spread to determine if it worked or not. See the spell below for what I mean.
I am still new to tarot which is why I wrote all this information. I just do a “yes or no” single card pull.
I use an app called “Tarot Simple” by Cathy Checora that I know is on iPhone and last I heard (several months ago) they were working to get it on Android. I highly recommend it for witchlings of all levels and ages.

Below is my Spell record format. Please feel free to use it and alter as you wish. If you share it, please credit. Thank you!

1 of 2 Is this thing on? Or why I left tumblr
Hello?
So I’m back. I’ve decided to take the call to arms that is Reviving WitchBlr seriously. Why? For a few reasons, some purely selfish and others somewhat altruistic. Before I run through those, let’s have a quick chat.
I joined tumblr what feels like a decade ago and it was a strange place, but I felt at home. The weirdos, the music, the NSFW content, the conversations with strangers and mostly the miles and miles of aesthetic image compilations. It was a strange time and place for me personally but I had a safe place and an escape from my reality (and mental health, shocker i know!) where I could indulge so many of my interests.
Then shit changed. I disliked the new rules, the advertisers, the get-rich-quick, some of the cashing in (some i respected) and the vibe just changed.
However what really pissed me off and my feeling tipped towards hate was for lack of a better word - the FUCKING POLITICS.
I don’t need your politics, I don’t give a damn about your prudishness, your Christian-save the children-crusades, I don’t need your opinion. Shit got ugly and weird, even within the witch space. Who knew witch was a such a controversial word? It was suddenly a gender, culture, political warzone. I just wanted to share my love for magic, the universe, green things, history and aesthetic photos. So yeah after the terf, nazi and cultural appropriation got ugly. And frankly fucking stupid. I left. I said fuck it and was done. Tumblr deleted, old email purged and I was gone.

So, why am I back?
I crept back slowly in the last year and honestly the pain this amazing Witchblr community was in, it shocked me. The attacks - subtle, admin based, outright death threats - just wow, what is wrong with people!?
And I’ve been slowly re-exploring the amazing educational, supportive, dedicated community and it’s absolutely phenomenal what has been built here. So I started to think, maybe I want back in, maybe I want to share part of myself again with this world. Just as I was sitting here with a pros & cons list, I stumbled across a post.
https://thewitchywitch.tumblr.com/post/190388391626/reviving-the-witchcraft-community
Well damn. Now that was a sign if I ever needed one.
So for last 3 months I’ve been compiling books, notes, my grimoires and my glorious boxes of witch shit to drag it all out for you.
Witchblr - let’s fucking do this!
Stay tuned for Part 2 - what I bring to the table, planned content and possible pictures of my cats.
