906. The sun comes out abruptly while you’re hiking. The glare on the snow is instantly blinding. You slap a hand over your eyes and stagger off the trail, towards the trees. It only takes a few steps for you to tell that something is wrong. You should have bumped into a tree already, and the crust of snow is far too crunchy. You crack an eye open and see that the trees are gone. A vast meadow with the bones of winter in place of snow stretches as far as your eye can see.
