        Cloud ends up wandering outside of Kalm to help clear his mind while his friends rest in town, picking up a few random jobs on his way. Blue-green eyes take in his surroundings as he walks, silently retelling himself the directions to his targets. There was something about the simplicity in hunting down monsters & the occasional oversized rodent. 

        The jobs didn’t take him as long as he thought they would, he was hoping it would take him the better part of a day instead of just an hour. Hopefully it had been longer than that.

        He heard someone coming closer as the ex-SOLDIER’s blue-green eyes flick over the area before him, doing a quick visual sweep of the area before turning around, he pauses mid-action, his hand halfway to putting his sword back on his back as he sees the woman before him. 

        The woman looked shell-shocked & was staring at him with eyes just like his, mako infused with that SOLDIER blue-green mixture. Her expression took him right to those eyes, her outfit wasn’t like many other SOLDIER’s he’s seen, had a lot of added personality & customization, the cinch at her belt was another hint he discovers.

        Gradually, Cloud finishes hooking his sword on his back, his hand keeping a tight grip of his Buster Sword as he narrows his eyes the other in an untrusting manner. With that shocked expression he was guessing Shinra hadn’t sent her. Not the first time he’d be wrong if they had, all he knew is that look made him feel awkward, restless. “I was never here.”

My Top 10 Eli and Trixie Scenes

#5: Hint of a Love Triangle

From the episode Snowdance

I mentioned in a previous post how I enjoy the idea of Billy having a crush on Trixie and being jealous of Eli for that in addition to Eli’s slinging skills / popularity, Trixie being disgusted by him and bluntly rejecting and/or mocking him, while Eli is annoyed by Billy but not jealous in the least because obviously Trixie would never have any interest in someone like that.

This episode was a perfect tease to that - not a take-over-the-story or in-your-face kind of plot, just enough to add some humor and cute indirect Elixie interactions - and then the viewer can take it however they like :)

I’ve been watching a bunch of other shows for a while, then finally went back through my Slugterra collections and realized how much I missed these two:

Just a handful of random relatively-minor cuteness: looks, gestures, anything

Plus two bonus at the end: Eli complimenting Trixie, and an edit-comic of a scene in Ghoul From Beyond of Eli being a bit of a flirt :)

Two notable scenes taken from the episode Snowdance.

I know Billy just generally hates / is jealous of Eli, and Trixie is defending her friend / teammate, but I love the potential love triangle here. 

Just imagine: Billy and Eli ready to duel it out because: Billy has been trying to get Trixie’s attention, and though Eli’s not threatened by him (clearly Trixie hates Billy), Eli is getting annoyed by him.  So he starts mocking Billy like in The Slugout, then Billy starts insulting Eli like usual, and finally Trixie just walks up and punches Billy in the face, like “no, no one’s bad-mouthing Eli on my watch.” Leaving the gang speechless, and leaving Billy on the ground, Trixie just marches away :)
