Genuinely, I have no idea why it has such a strong level of appeal to me, but it's just so much fun to see in fics, clips, cartoons, and art

Just something about it being a sort of 'last ditch attempt' at trying to keep a big sneeze in is super alluring, a display of composure being completely lost bc fighting this big tickle is more important (For this reason or that, the reasons for it are endless!)

Always can be perfectly topped off with a sigh of relief from a sneezy cross-eyed character, nostrils still irritated and twitchy, then followed by an explosive release, gahhh 🫠

So I've read plenty of obs about people with the kink trying to be discreet when hearing a sneeze in public. Think trying to catch a cursory glance of the sneezer without making it obvious, or perhaps covertly slipping out an earphone in order to hear them better. BUT does anyone attempt the reverse of this - by which I mean, sneezing in public and then trying to catch someone looking your way?

I'll do this sometimes if I happen to sneeze somewhere busy with people (university used to be great for this) where I'll briefly scan the room afterwards in the hopes I'll meet the eye of another kinkster who peeped for just that second too long.

So far this sleuthing hasn't turned up anything but I like to think that by random chance it'll happen one day 🤷‍♂️

As for stifling around people - it usually depends on the situation rather than the person. I don't mind if others hear my sneeze, be it friends or strangers. The only times I'd usually stifle are if I'm somewhere quiet (don't want to disturb others) or for hygiene (can't cover in time/potential for mess). I've also become pretty successful at holding back - either through willpower alone, or by rubbing and scrunching my nose as a last resort. But I hate losing a sneeze, so I'll try and see it through to completion if I can 😌

Do you stifle in public?

Hey thanks for the question! It depends, my 'default' is to not stifle as I find sneezing openly more satisfying, however I do stifle in some situations - usually when I'm somewhere quiet and I don't want to disturb people (exams, libraries, meetings for example). Or if I'm in close proximity to others to avoid spreading germs lol. Maybe I'll record a stifle wav soon?

I was painting alone at a studio and was sat next to this young adult couple. I couldn’t help but eavesdrop since I had no headphones and they seemed to be newly dating. This part of their conversation made my eyes go😳
