Generally speaking, he doesn’t dislike animals, but he never grew up around them, so he can get kind of tense/nervous around them just because he’s not really sure how to interact with them. It also doesn’t help that animals can sometimes sense he’s got that demonic funk on him, so they’re prone to disliking him

He’s also fairly territorial & gets jealous more easily than he’d like to admit, so there’s a decent chance he’ll end up competing with your cat(s) for your attention 😐

Like,, if you start petting or baby-talking your kitties, he very well may either pout or start prodding at your for attention—until you’ve no choice but to start cuddling with him instead
