the fact that the original So Claybe post (which just turned 7 btw) has less than 360k notes is crazy to me. how is it not in the millions. i think about it all the time

i know everyone's been saying this in a million different ways i'm just sad that bnha set up all these fascinating systemic issues and then horikoshi-sensei (bless him & all his gifts) went "oh wait i just remembered i'm a political moderate & this is a shounen" & now can't be arsed to address any of it for that, so now we're (theoretically--this is likely the manga's final arc) gonna have deku's kids dealing with their own league of villains & very possibly their own afo at the genetic quirkpocalypse or whatever :( like afo terrifies me and i wouldn't want him to know i exist bc he can explode anyone from anywhere on the planet but he's also kinda,,,.,., thematically weak compared to the stuff lady nagant was fighting against when she turned on the heroes. like i get changing a political system/climate looks dull af compared to fighting one single powerful dude and his army but there are ways of telling a story about the former that can be packed with action (just off the top of my head--have the real baddies be running the show behind hero society, the hpsc, anything the wee protags have had their backs to this entire time--it wouldn't be hard to imagine an organization with all its resources having access to some superguns that would pose real stakes against deku & his friends. they're just not underdogs even against afo.) we've all been frustrated for several years that hero society's corruption was set up & then never addressed, but i just wanna say it, myself. i wish my heart could be immersed in this series but it's torn lol </3 i can't root for the blorbos it wants me to root for, or even the blorbos I used to root for

I guess I could technically do karaoke versions of some of these if I wanted to. hmmm...I'll have to think on that one.

but yeah, it's wild, right? in two days, it'll be the four-year anniversary of So Claybe, which was my very first second-beat song! :')
