True. This does corroborates the Vordenburg is full of shit and the vampires are doing their own stuff angle.
Sadly we know precious little about the other vampires. It is save to assume Carmilla’s mother is one. She is described very similarly to her daughter, by both Laura and Spielsdorf. Are their servants vampires, who are described unlike Carmilla and her mom as “ill-looking”, “hang-dog looking” and “most deadly pale” or are they some kind of thralls, revenants, or spirits?
