Man I reallly need to stop watching shounen, no matter if it has rave reviews and an interesting synopsis. Every show that looks interesting always ends up being a kid’s story dressed up in baseless ultraviolence to make it appear mature with bland cookie cutter pretty boys and female characters that are only objects and foils

The Hell’s Paradise manga and anime both have near 9/10s on MAL but those 2 episodes were just gore and “oh man look how cool this kuudere is”. I hope it gets better, I’ll stick with it bc the ratings must come from somewhere

I feel like if weed was legal in my state my therapist would actually help me get it medicinally because I've talked about it with her and she told me she actually does think it's helpful for our depression

too bad we still have to go to another state because even medicinal use is not allowed

what do you think about the new sex education characters for season 4?

i'm not sure to be honest. it's very early days, but i'm not super keen on it as of now.

i love that they're introducing more trans characters, and that we'll be getting a mlw couple that is trans, and that both of their identities don't seem to be focused so much on their queerness necessarily. also it's really great that the team are pushing to hire new trans actors, hence why this casting was posted so openly and experience isn't necessary.

however, as a stan of characters that are already fighting for their life for screentime (namely anwar, olivia, rahim, vivienne and even jackson now) i'm not super happy with it atm. i was hoping anwar and/or olivia would get something this season similar to ruby in s3, and this news isn't necessarily stating that they won't, but it is stating that they'll be further down the food chain as abbi has quite a specific character description (something the likes of anwar, olivia, oba and rahim didn't really get during casting). and with important arcs like maeve in america, jean's child, adam and eric both finding new love interests etc. i just worry that the aforementioned may not be that prioritised, and they already aren't that important as is.

this is definitely a knee-jerk reaction, as i was super disappointed with the screen time for most of my faves in s3 so am just expecting the worse, but we'll see. excited to see what they do with the newbies, but just not sure what to expect in relation to the ones we already like

also not to mention that the new school thing has me quite nervous. i’m worried that the minor characters will be shut off completely, or only in 2 or 3 episodes now, which i’m not too pleased with. i just love these characters so much i want to have them around for forever which isn’t realistic but.... idk im just not happy with it skjdfsd
