everything is how it’s supposed to be

even the reds and oranges

ripe of autumn

so far away

the night you died i was singing till the morning

the night i die i will be dancing

to the tune i heard from you

defining memories behind

i emerge from a blue seashell

seeing who i have become in the angles of the freckles on her arms

measured out to be exact in certainty

every word and every movement calculated to be correct

by a design her and i fall happy victim to

just laughing and kissing

all underneath the golden rays of sunlight

and tucked out away by vines and branches

her eyes reflecting an image of the landscape

within my heavy gaze i felt the turn of the earth

pulling towards autumn

so far away for now

how the clocks tick in all our favor

not just her and i

an excited, loving whisper falls from heaven

and travels towards us on the wind

“everything is how it’s supposed to be”

the privilege of love given and returned

brings bright smiles to our faces

and we are singing together
