One of my favorite scenes of anything ever.
Vincent Price as Prince Prospero -
The Masque of the Red Death (1964)
Mind electric
So, I've reread Project Hail Mary a few times. I've gone through it with the fine tooth comb of "Grace is an unreliable narrator" (because he is! Because it's from his perspective. He has to be because he's deeply, unmistakably human.)
But I finally watched the movie. At first I was disappointed. They didn't let him feel smart. They opened it with him being scared, and goofy, and lost, but never allowing him the space to show the viewer that he's SMART, damnit!
But there was a moment in the movie that made me realize that I was being a dumbass. Despite the outside view, the movie is from his perspective too. Of course it is. (Spoilers and personal health experience below that tie into this)
Drew Binghe in my current physical state ie Sick as Hell
😎🤘
As you can see, I love inflicting my current self onto him. If I have to deal with me being sick, so does he (- ,-)
Brick is big, loud, large and in charge. He's often times the one that snips at the business to get in the house. The only reason he snips at the others like this is because he's protecting them. He's taken on many raging aggressive dogs, wild animals, and even humans all in the name of protecting Clancy's business of drones.
When he's not on big scary drone mode he is remarkably gentle! very very sweet. He's always seen in the sleep piles, loafed up with a few other drones using him as a pillow, cuddling, playing with the kids, and putting blankets over resting drones. He's even been seen allowing other drones to come right up, pop a seat next to him, lean up on him, and just start eating his snacks. He actually gets a lot of hugs from the business, a lot. It's really cute to see him successfully defend the others and everyone is so quick to check him over for any serious injuries. The business cares deeply for Brick and truly value him
what if... i made little fish shaped chocolates for Naut 🥺
"let me thank you properly later.. ‘kay..?"
