Is there any real reason for some Dickori fans to blindly hate Barbara and state that she has no agency outside of being Dick's girlfriend. Along with making assumptions about Dickbabs being discriminatory towards WOC?

Well, I think there's just a lot of misinformation. However, some read one article, comment or post and immediately believe it without doing deeper researches or read the comic where it's from. Like the out of context panels.

And sure, I get it, you don't have to read the comic if you don't like DickBabs. But if you want to talk about it after reading something about it you either read the comic or, as least, inform yourself about it and ask questions.

In years, I've seen a lot of posts hating on Barbara, giving stuff out of context or without getting in depth and try to understand the character.

Because yeah, you did read the comic, but did you understand it? Why Babs did this and that? How she felt? It's just comics, of course, but to have a true and deep conversation about it as they want you need to do this, in my opinion of course! Y'all can disagree with it.

I feel like they don't try to understand Barbara. Like, blindly reading? Maybe blinded by the hate so not paying much attention, or maybe getting bored and spacing off. You know, like reading a book but having to read back again the whole page because you didn't actually pay attention and just mindlessly read😅.

As for the no agency outside Nightwing... That must kinda be because of the Taylor run? I've seen a lot of people taking things just from it and ignoring the last 30 years. As if TT's run is the only one that exists.

And probably because of how many times Dick gets mentioned or appears in her solos, too, kind of as if they don't live quite close... And, well. Name one Starfire comic or comic she appears in where Dick doesn't get mentioned or appears. He did in her solo, he was mentioned in Blue Beetle, in Outlaws...

Saying Babs has no agency is crazy😭. She appeared a lot more than Kory (1877 until just a while ago, while Kory did 1086 times. It's a lot itself and that's great for her! But Babs still did 791+ times more. It doesn't seem like it but that's a lot. Characters like Zatanna barely reaches 1000 appearances.) and has quite a lot merch. I remember Mc Donald's Toys ahah. Every time there were superheroes, Batgirl was there with Batman. Robin? No. Batgirl, Babs at that. So she's not infamous at all. As for Starfire, I think the max I've seen were a few TTG figures🫠 Had to buy stuff of her online. Like I love my woman Kory but Babs is way more popular and has a lot more of agency, it's hard to deny.

The being discriminatory of WOC is kinda crazy tbh. The argument there is basically that Dick dating a "typical white woman" and always breaking up with girls like Kory (since she's an alien), Bea, Helena (after they retconned her I guess) and Shawn is... Racist?

I... Have no idea. I tried to read an article about this but I immediately went like "this is BS" and didn't bother finishing it😭... I guess I'm racist because I broke up with my ex who was black?

Or maybe it's because of what Tom Taylor did with Bea, but then again how do you explain with Shawn? He even had Babs and Kory's approval and all there, and I'm pretty sure DickBabs wasn't the reason they broke up..?
