The baby rabbit only just hears his mother's warning as he runs off. The forest is big and new! So many things to see! There are flowers and and HUGE TREES and bees and rocks! A shiny light catches the young rabbit's eye and he runs toward it, not caring which direction he came from. He comes across a shiny surface and is mesmerized by his reflection. When he finally looks up, he notices that he has lost the familiar sights of his burrow. Suddenly everything the young bunny was ecstatic to see is not new, its unknown and closing in. He frantically looks around, getting more scared by each passing second as he struggles to find his home. He takes a few cautious steps back and squeaks as he bumps into something fluffy! He hears a familiar laugh behind him as he turns around and sees his mother’s loving smile.
"What did I say child? Come here."
She picks him up and brings him back home.
"Next time don't go running off or you'll really get lost. Come on, warm up next to me."
She says as she sets him down at the entrance of their familiar burrow. He stops for a moment, timidly looking back out then deciding against his impulsive nature. He runs into his mother with a soft poof and and calms down as she wraps her body around his. His heart slows and connects with hers as they lay there together, feeling the warmth of home.
