After Sun shoots them and the zodiac brothers are tiny and being cared for by Sun, they start getting sick from lack of functional nanobots. This eventually causes them to go one by one into a stasis mode where they still exist, they aren’t dead, but they’re practically comatose.
Sun cries when this happens, he’s grown attached to them, they’re his little brothers. Taurus’ stasis comes as a much bigger hit to the heart for everyone involved because Taurus is a kid and he’s scared, Capricorn just went into stasis and he thinks his big brother just died.
Sun has to reassure Taurus he’ll be okay as he goes into stasis, unable to stop it or fix it and he tucks each one of them into the big fluffy dog bed he got them as they all go into stasis. Sun makes sure they’re all there and they’re safe before he goes to sleep each night.
