This wasn’t her trying to play dumb nor as a way to distract from the odd behavior that the orc was displaying. She could very well understand his bewilderment by this sudden twist of events, commonly aggressive unless they were tamed as monsters tend to lash out with hostility when in their usual territory. No, her question would serve as a prelude of sorts to her explanation as to how this orc, a creature known for bashing in the heads of adventurers should they let their guard down around said creature, was currently cleaning up the mess it had made in front of her home. And rather happily too from the way it was... humming? It was a content enough noise that the orc was making, akin to humming yet not quite, what mattered is that the monster seemed far happier than earlier.

I saw how upset it seemed and brought up a story about how one time I came across a machine that couldn’t make turnip yogurt, it seemed to understand how upset I was from that, and then from there, a friendship was formed as we both talked about our issues!”
