About soap crafting and also TES (with some tips on how to recreate them)
The post this is refering to is rather old. But not long before the virus time I started hand crafting my own soap. I dont sell it, I give it away. Because for me selling something like that durring a pandemic when it isn't my main source on income and just a hobby seems like I shit thing to do. Anyway since then I have tried out a few of the ideas from the soap of tamriel asks that I got.
And I want to share two of them here.
The above photos are my third and best attempt at a tea soap. Heavily inspired by the Dunmer. Its made with a honey infused soap base from a local craft store (I am still testing bases out to see what works best)
This particular bar has a tiny bit added color in it. Thats whats giving off the copper sheen. But I found out that over time the specific tea I used bled its color into the soap so well that even the bars I made without any extra colorant turned a deep red brown like this. Its also scented with a tea fragrance oil. But I can absolutely also smell the tea that's In it still.
This bar and all the tea bars that came before it are by far my most popular. Ive made so many batches because people keep taking it all lol
This next bar is a vanilla and honey bar that is inspired by the Nords. Its a three in one as it can be used as a shampoo, hand soap, or bodywash. The honey in it is a whole honeycomb melted down. The honeycomb was gifted to me by a co worker. This same effect can be achieved just as well with just honey though. I made versions of these with a rose scent as well while I was bored. But the overall astetetic the original bar feels very rustic and perfect for the nords in my opinion. Even if the base I used isn't something they would have had in skyrim.
