who asks the other on dates? witchers aren’t really date-going in general. modern au however? i think they both try and ask clumsily at exactly the same time and are very happy the other wanted to spend time with them in the first place.

who is the bigger cuddler? both of them are so very clingy but geralt juuust about takes the lead with this one, he’ll find any excuse to be curled up around eskel when they’re alone or in company that he doesn’t care about the opinions of. if they’re all sitting in the hall at kaer morhen for any longer length of time, he can and will convince eskel to perch on his lap so he can hold him.

who initiates holding hands more often? probably eskel, geralt isn’t much of a hand-holder by way of showing affection.

who remembers anniversaries? they likely both do, but geralt will remember the smaller more specific things; the first time eskel achieved things he takes pride in, the first winter they spent together once they were both on the path, how many years ago it was they fought a particular creature together. the first time eskel told him he loved him sticks in mind particularly, because it’s the first time anyone had ever said it to him. 

who is more possessive? likely geralt. neither of them are of the belief their relationship is monogamous due to the nature of witcher life, but he has no qualms at all about elbowing his way into a situation if he catches up with him on the path, regardless of who’s company he’s in. 

who gets more jealous? they’re both very good at being jealous, and particularly over each other. it can range from a light-hearted game to be played, pushing at each other’s jealousy, or it can inadvertently become quite mean if they go too far.

who is more protective? eskel is likely the one person geralt actually lets take the lead on this. he’s not only one of the very few people he’s ever met who’s physically bigger than him and an equally skilled fighter, it’s just rational to know that he not only will but could protect him from a physical threat. as far as hurt feelings though, geralt is quick to cut in to defend eskel’s.

who is more likely to cheat? as they both understand their relationship isn’t monogamous as witchers, the concept of cheating doesn’t really apply much. though, any feelings of betrayal depending on who it is the other might be otherwise involved with might present more readily in geralt because of that rather opinionated jealous streak of his. in a modern au, i think both of them are probably pretty committed and neither would cheat.

who initiates sexy times the most? it’s a favourite hobby of theirs when they’re cooped up in winter time so it’s probably pretty even. modern au however, it’s probably geralt, just because he’s a deal more experienced than eskel and it’s a love language of his.

who dislikes pda the most? neither of them are much for it considering they have reputations to uphold, but a drunk geralt is likely just a little bit more lax and will sneak a kiss and assure him no one’s looking before eskel can tell him off.

who kills the spider? neither of them, they leave spiders be or put them outside. unless that is they’re giant, in the way, and particularly aggressive.

who asks the the other to marry them? witchers don’t marry, but if they did, they’d probably get married to each other. i think the only event the question would come up was if they decided to travel together for the foreseeable, and only after a significant number of decades probably. and even then, it’s more of a discussion than either of them asking. modern au, geralt would marry him in a heartbeat, even if it was just for convenience.

who buys the other flowers or gifts? eskel is probably more thoughtful in the way of picking flowers, buying small trinkets, or silly little joke presents, of which geralt keeps all of them.

who would bring up possibly having kids? as they’re witchers and their lives on the path don’t really allow for it, i don’t think either would bring it up. in modern au geralt’s life is complicated and he’s not particularly paternal, so he doesn’t really want kids.

who sleeps on the couch when the other is angry? probably geralt, if ever, because he doesn’t like going to bed on an argument but wouldn’t want to intrude if eskel needed space.

who tries to make up first after arguments? probably eskel, as geralt can stew quite a bit after an argument while he has to process his feelings about it.

who tells the other they love them more often? eskel probably says it first, but geralt always always says it back.
